I was a little worried after reading the reviews that made it sound like these wouldn't fit. They had a great sale, so went with them. I've been wearing a version of the Ecco Fusions as my sole (ha) work and walking shoe for probably 15 years. I always wear 43, and these 43s fit just fine. They don't feel too loose. If anything, they feel a bit on the snug side, but I'm breaking them in after a few days. Compared to the last version of Fusions, these are shinier, feel lighter, more supportive (though it could just be that these are new compared to old ones) but maybe a vague sense of not being as solidly built as the previous ones. So far they seem quite suitable and live up to the typical comfort of Ecco Fusions. Each of the previous versions have lasted me 2-3 years of daily wear, so we'll see how these turn out.

I purchased this to replace an older pair of the Ecco Fusion tie. I tried it on for fit and really only checked the toe box; I ignored the fact that it didn't seem to fit right around the ankle. Now that I've worn it outside and cannot return it, I am here to caution others to not repeat my mistake. There is something that's just not right about the construction of this shoe. When walking in it, the shoe feels like it flops about the ankle opening and rubs the Achilles tendon raw. I re-strung the laces to make it very tight, and the fit issue persists. Perhaps there's not enough padding around the opening (particularly at the back of the ankle), but I can say for sure that this fits nothing like the old Fusion tie did. Perhaps it would fit if you have serious edema or massive "cankles". This shoe does a disservice to the Ecco brand. I have worn Ecco's for over 30 years. I wish they'd just bring back their original moccasin, it was the perfect semi-casual walking shoe. Bottom line, if you have worn Ecco's regularly and love how they fit, then DO NOT BUY THIS SHOE.

wore the previous 2 version of this model that fit perfectly, but this one feels like flip flops. The heel area was loose, had to return them. what a shame.

Wanted to like these shoes, but the weird wings on the back of the shoes rubbed my Achilles tendon raw.

I usually wear a 42 (4 other pairs) in ECCO, but this time I had to go down to a 41. The 41 fit fine. I do wish it still had the leather insole the boots have, considering the price.

This is my fourth or fifth pair of ECCOs, and I am very disappointed. Every other pair I have is a size 42, but these are too big. I am also disappointed in the insole and outsole. Doesn't seem to be up to the usual ECCO standards.
