I desperately need true four e wide boots for my ultra wide feet, and these are simply not the ones for me. They are narrow to the point of being painful, even with the 4E rating. I would rate them more like a D.

Item fit narrower than advertised. Size indication on the boot is EW boot description is 4E and fits narrower than other makes like Bates or New Balance that carry true widths.

I have worn these boots several times from new. As a structural Ironworker I need the wedge sole & they must be tough nobody beats up a pair of boots like a Ironworker walking on steel that's hot as can be on concrete & getting welding & torch fire on them all day. These boots are better than the comparable Red Wings at 1/2 the price. I have had several pair & they last & are comfortable as a good work boot gets, they're not slippers. If you want a tennis shoe, become an accountant & pay someone to do the man's work around the house. I don't wear steel toes for 2 reasons 1) they get cold in the winter bad, 2) in Ironwork the material is extra heavy & steel toes can cut your toes off. I would also add I have a high arch so boots fitting me is difficult to find - these fit well.

I'll start off with saying these are some comfortable boots! They're the easiest boots to don and doff I've ever had. They look fantastic, and are great for being on your feet all day. These are NOT for outdoor use. They turn into ice skates on loose dirt, leaves, etc... The wedge sole on these boots is also GIGANTIC. At its largest, 1 1/2 inches, and 3/4 inch at its smallest. This is good for those who are shorter, and they act as a buffer between leather scuffing surfaces and your precious boots. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with these boots and would recommend them highly (pun)!

It is not what I expected. I did not like the way it looks and feels

They are NOT true 4E width size. The website is misleading. To verify, go to wolverine.com and in the FAQ tab, you can see the true reference notes the manufacturer has for the width sizes. I should have returned these boots, but I was skeptical believing that the boots might fit better after wearing them for a day or two. I guess with wearing them outside, they are not returnable. Nice boots,but too bad that they are not as wide as a 4E as mentioned.

Hi there! I'm normally a size 10 in Nike's, and 9.5 in Vans and life gets trickier when it comes to boots. I bought a full size smaller, a 9, and it was still too big! It could be that I have narrow feet and they don't make narrow sizes, but I would say if you have narrow feet - order on the smaller size I guess. I didn't try an 8.5 because then it just gets ridiculous. But I did switch over and order a pair of SOREL's and their 9's seemed to fit great. I hope this helps!

I just ordered these boots and they seem great except they're OVER a full size too big. I were a 10-10 1/2 in most shoes. I ordered a 9 because most people say this boot is a 1/2-whole size too large. I'm still getting slip in my heel when laced tight. So now I have to order an 8 1/2?! That seems crazy, seeing that I haven't worn that size since I was like 16 years old... There sizing is way off.
