Depends what you are expecting from these. If you want to wear them everyday and give them a little beating, they'll last about 4 or 5 months. If you're using these for special occasions then they are fine. Great shine
As always, Zappos' service is remarkable. The shoes fit well initially, though I have not yet worn them over an extended period (like all day). I last bought a pair of Bates high gloss uniform oxford shoes when I was active duty military 17 years ago. The quality of the shoes does not seem to be the same - these shoes seem lighter and not as sturdy as I remember them being. I suspect these shoes won't last as long as previous pairs of Bates I've had, but I won't know that till later. Bates offers a more expensive shoe - maybe these are the shoes I seem to remember.
I use this shoe with my uniform, and it is quite comfortable. I have not made it yet to the summer months, but in the winter they are warm enough that I have not had to wear a thicker sock. The grip is nice even when we get the occasional rain, and they shine nicely with a wood polish wipe. Great purchase for the money.
I needed these shoes for a Fire Department parade dress uniform. They arrived in the usual Zappos speedy fashion, and they fit great, but one arrived with a big dull area on the top. This spot was only made worse after a few wipes with a damp cotton cloth. Seconds, anyone?
Not happy with product quality. One shoe is shiny and new, the other is dull and faded. Obviously not a match set.

Great fit, works great as Tux shoes. I DJ weddings and these went perfectly with my tux and my feet weren't sore at the end of the night like with those "cardboard" shoes.
These shoes are great. Real nice look and comfortable for Blues Monday. I highly recommend.
Happy - I've only had these one day, but so far they are very comfortable and they look awesome. I like how there is padding around the back of the ankle and it doesn't cut into it, like a lot of dress shoes. It also has a lot of TREAD, so I can walk normally and not slip. It has good arch support in the stock sole; I usually have to wear in-soles for high arches, but with these I don't think I'll have to.
