I purchased my shoes about 8 years ago at a high-end department store here in Florida. I love the look and they are great for formal functions and performances, which is why I purchased them. After a number of years of sparingly wearing my Dickinson's I was a tad dismayed, recently, that the quarters were peeling around the ankle on the left shoe only. I live in Florida in air-conditioning most of the year and that may have played a role. The right shoe is still in very good shape, which makes no sense to me. I was not aware that your company used bonded leather. I will continue to wear these as the defects aren't noticeable while I am performing. And I will get some conditioner so that the other shoe, and the rest of the shoes, don't deteriorate as well.
