This is my second pair in 12 years. I'm usually working in 15 to 20f on ice under 18 inches of snow. These work very well. The new ones have more insulation and should be even better.

This boot is much bulkier than expected but seems like it would be really warm in the winter. Hard to assess fit because these were too big for me in both width and length, which TBH is a welcome change. At least it wasn't too short/narrow like every other shoe brand I tried in this same size (men's 8.5). As a woman with a wide foot, I am purchasing men's shoes but these were wide even for me. If you are a man with a wide foot, these may be a good option. On a separate note, the shoes I received were obviously a return as they had CAT HAIR all over the shoes / in the box. Gross. Kinda glad these didn't work because I might have returned them just for that.

These boots are amazingly warm and very comfortable to just slip on and go out into the snow and use every day. They’re truly dependable and durable, I’ve had them just about 4 years and still look and feel amazing.

I expected the quality of Sorel would drop when Columbia Sportswear bought them out and it's absolutely true. This boot is advertised as Men's Waterproof Boots made for cold and wet weather, yet the shoelaces and zippers are not waterproof. Wow. Spend a few additional bucks and get something better. It won't be hard.

These are my favorite winter hiking boots Ive ever owned. Comfortable as can be, and super warm. They fit well with snowshoes when its really deep and pants can clip to the laces. No snow gets in. Good grip on everything but hard ice. The only issue I had was when I didnt wear socks and they dug in a bit above the ankle. 2 seasons of use and they still look great!
