They're soft as slippers. The velcro-type closure really only attaches in its original position, though, so the back part of the shoe felt too loose for me. My feet were also a little wider than the sole - not something I expected in the width I ordered.
Too large
Fit a little loose in heel.
I liked the style, but the shoe was too wide overall. I only need a wide width for the forefoot. This shoe was wide all over. The strap wasn't able to tighten enough to keep my foot from slipping inside the shoe.
I love this shoe, and really wanted it to work. But it is at least 1/2 size too large. My normal size is a 6 1/2, but even when I exchanged for a size 6, my heel was still slipping up and down in the shoe as I walked. I even put in the extra insoles that Orthofeet supplies with their shoes, but they're still too loose in the heel. I'm returning them and will look for other Orthofeet (or similar brands) shoes.
Great shoe! They are extremely comfortable for long days on your feet. I would highly recommend them.
Wore these right out of the box. Wore them all day. Really comfortable, didn't pinch my toes and didn't hurt my heel. They were so supportive, my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. I will definitely buy more of this brand.
This is my first time trying a shoe from Orthofeet. I knew immediately it was going to be too long when I took it out of the box. I still tried it on. It was probably a half size too big. Extra-wide width was perfect though. Sole was very comfortable but no actual support. The box did contain support soles to add, but I didn't try them since I already knew I'd have to return the shoe.
The padding inside was so thick that I was worried that I would have trouble walking in them. They fit well otherwise and look good, so I will keep them and hope Ican break them in.
These shoes come with accessories to customize the arch and fill in the shoe a little to get the fit just right. The strap doesn't really allow for tightening, but inserts allow for getting the fit just right. These are like a cross between slippers and a lightweight tennis shoe. I kept these. I don't know if my feet have really spread more or if the shoe industry sizing has changed but I have to get a size 12 in most of the brands now which is a size and a half bigger than I was getting a few years ago. Not just in these shoes but others. These shoes are really pretty comfortable and I kept them. They aren't heavy duty shoes, the look is casual but okay and they are easy on and off shoes with just the one strap to secure.
