Invictus Eau de Toilette with Patchouli & Ocean Marine Accord

This was perfect for the holiday season! Something to put in my pocket to refresh my scent during any occasion. Though it went on the skin well, it didnt have the potency I would look for in a scent.

Invictus smells incredible. It has a sexy and soft smell that I loved instantly when I tried it. It has become my favorite fragrance from Paco Rabanne.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really like this scent! The first spray is fresh with a touch of citrus with a clean aquatic scent. Reminds me of a nice cool shower. After a bit it becomes more woodsy and musky. What I like the most about this scent is the change from aquatic to woodsy. I’m more of a woodsy scent person but this scent really became on of my favorite. It’s a clean, sporty and confident scent. It lasts a good amount of time too.

The opening has marine and citrus notes which makes it somewhat sweet, but still aquatic. As it sits, woody notes come through. This lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin and about 6 hours on clothes with moderate projection. Overall this is an easy fragrance to reach for when going out during the summer.

The drydown is nicer but still leaves a bit to be desired. It’s definitely a summer cologne, just not for me.

Despite smelling over 500 fragrances and owning several paco rabannes and even owning other Invictus fragrances I hadn’t smell the original until receiving this sample. I didn’t have many expectations because it was “just” the original Invictus edt but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it smells, I now know why an entire fragrance line spawned from this. To me it smells extremely fresh and sweet. The freshness comes from the sea notes and the citruses that balance each other out very well, I’m not typically a fan of heavy aquatic scents and this one doesnt come across that way because of the grapefruit that is in here. I can definitely see many fragrances that were inspired by this one and I’m glad to have tried it.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Overall, I really like this fragrance. It has a fresh masculine scent that’s easy to wear every day. It projects well and is noticeable without being too strong, the performance lasted most of the day and the quality feels premium.
