Surf Infusion Sea Salt Spray

I've got a ton of fine wavy hair, and naturally rely on surf sprays for easy styling. You can't treat this spray like you do other sprays. Most others you'd want to put a small amount of leave in, or hair oil on before using because they can be drying. With this, you don't need to, and run the risk of oily hair if you do. A little goes a long way. I alternate this and BBs other surf spray depending on what my hair is doing that day. Definitely love.

I liked this more than the Surf spray, even for my fine hair. Can make hair greasy if you spray too much, but duh – it is oil based. When use sparingly, creates nice texture and definition.

This was recommended by Sephora employee in my local store after they stopped carrying the Ouai Dry Texture Foam. I asked for a similar product and this spray was recommended. This did not create the same texturized look and the oil in the spray weighed my hair down, creating a flat look. This did make my hair look shiny but it kept no shape. I feel that a salt spray without the added oil would have worked with my hair better. This product did smell really nice though. I ended up exchanging it (something I wouldn’t normally do) for the Living Proof Dry Volume spray and definitely prefer the scent of this instead. This spray may work well for people with dry hair as it made my hair super soft but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me.

The biggest complaint in reviews of this product are that it makes your hair greasy. If you use the product in the right way, that doesn't happen, and it takes a little trial and error to figure out the best way to use this spray. There is a reason why the full size bottle of Surf Infusion is much smaller than Bumble and Bumbles other spray products, and that's because you're supposed to use it far more sparingly. I initially purchased this as a way to tame my air dried hair on a trip to the Bahamas. It worked alright on its own, but yes, it tended towards greasiness. HOWEVER, when used as a complement to an air dry cream, that is where this product shines. I usually use a styling cream (I have the Surf cream but also like IGK's products) all over my hair and follow with a few spritzes of Surf Infusion. Once my hair is dry and I tousle it a little, I finish with this spray again. It tames frizz and adds shine, but not grease because I'm using just a small amount. I really love using this as a finishing product- and it smells amazing, too!

Thought I would finally write a review since I have been using this for at least a couple years now. I have long naturally wavy hair and I use this when I curl it or air dry ( which during quarantine is often). A few spritzes on the frizzy looking areas adds just the right texture and shine to finish the look. No other salt sprays do it as well as this one.

Im sure this is good if you have incredibly dry hair but I have normal to dry hair and it made my hair super greasy and horrible.

Love this! I use this after curling my hair and it has a light weight hold, give enough texture to give my hair dimension and leaves my hair very shiny! I get compliments EVERYTIME I use this product! It doesn’t create waves for me but it holds the texture of my waves to give a more effortless look. On my second bottle now. I took off 1 star only bc it doesn’t create waves when I spray it on my damp hair and air dry

I love this product so so much!!! After using it today, I’m absolutely amazed w/ the results I’ve been given; a nice, beachy wave look. I sprayed this baby on the ends of my hair, scrunched each section, and blow dried my hair w/ a diffuser. I can honestly say that I’m very fascinated about what it did w/ my hair, especially since mine is very coarse. Plus, the smell is amazing. It reminds me of the beach.

I have been using the Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion oil spray for the past couple months and it literally does not do anything. At most it gave me some frizz but other than that there's not much to it. I was quite disappointed because I thought it would help my blonde naturally curly 2C/3A hair. I purchased this product because I have been slowly getting my hair lighter and lighter via a salon and due to the bleach my natural curls needed a pick-me-up. Today, I am using it just to use it up since it was quite expensive. If you're thinking of purchasing this I would skip it or at try a sample it beforehand before wasting your money.
