Like others, mine ripped along the zipper within months. I have another silk pillowcase that I care for the same way, and I’ve owned it for about 5 years (and it was 1/3!5)3 price)
Don’t spend $176 on a single pillowcase. Go to a fabric store and get a stretchy, good-quality satin or silk fabric—about 2–3 meters. You can sew the pillowcase yourself or have someone do it for you. 2–3 meters will give you 4 to 5 pillowcases and I guarantee it’ll cost way less than $176.
Love how it feels but after a few months it ripped so not worth the price! Wish they would fix that!
I have two of these. One has been used for about a year and is fine. It is comfortable and stays cool. The second one has developed a long tear along the edge after only a few months of use. Clearly something is lacking in the quality control department. This product is way too expensive to take my chances that I won't get one that tears easily as is described in so many other reviews.
I have thin, fragile hair that breaks easily. I had always heard that sleeping on a silk pillowcase would minimize damage, but I was hesitant due to the price. My only regret is not buying this sooner! Wow. I cannot believe the difference this makes. I used to always wake up with frizzy hair and could never understand how some people can maintain a blowout for 3 days. Now I can. While I still have the usual "bedhead", my hair is relatively smooth when I get up and I can extend my style for a day or two. Considering the amount of money I have spent over the years in search of products to help me get healthier hair, this was well worth it.
This pillowcase really works! I bought both Caramel and Charcoal. I have long, fine hair and I would always wake with some amount of knots and dryness. No more. My hair is surprisingly no longer dry when I get up and the knots are gone. I waited to but because I really didn't think it would be worth the cost but it is. Love this.
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Amazing pillowcase. It works perfectly. It’s my skin. I don’t have any irritation and it gives the cool feel and material is very great. It’s pure silk and it’s not tearing apart. It’s very soft.
I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This pillowcase is great for reducing breakage if you sleep without a scarf. It feels nice and it stays cool so you don't have to flip it over in the middle of the night. The only con is it's true to it's name. My head would slip off during the night. It may be better if my pillow was a bit more flat instead of plush. Otherwise it's a good buy.
I love this pillowcase! I used it for the first time last night. I woke up and felt that my hair was less matted and I had no wrinkles from sleeping on my face. It is a bit bigger so you could put a king size pillow in it. It’s nice because it has a zipper to enclose the pillow also.
Zipper busted and edges came undone on the fabric after one year of relatively gentle use.
