The first time I put it on my eyes everything was OK. The texture and hydration were just right. Today, however, the second time, my eyes are very uncomfortable—I can’t stop blinking. I have to rinse it off.
Never told me mom I changed eye creams, and she called me out on how noticeably different and better my under eyes looked. I use a lot of La Mer and haven't had any reactions, to each their own.
Was skeptical, weary of the price point, but read 1 Review which especially caught me eye. Having a particular health issue which causes excessive eye puffiness, I purchased based on someone else’s comment that nothing really helped her in the past, except this one. This product most definitely has helped me, and I was spending about the same amount in other eye products. This does dry me out somewhat, having to add back additional hyaluronic acid, however the puffiness is greatly reduced.
WARNING!!!!! just because La Mer is a well known luxury skincare line does not mean their products are for everyone. I used this eye balm for about a week and I am now having the worst allergic reaction that is causing my eyelid skin to swell up… burn… dry and flaking… darken. Be very very very careful with their products. I definitely won’t be using anything by La Mer again. You have been warned…
My eyes got allergies easier after using this one. But the green bottle one doesn’t have that issue. Not sure why.
I have been using this off and on for many, many years and keep going back to it. I do prefer the consistency over the eye concentrate but have used both with the same results. I use retin a .01 on a daily basis and this eye cream keeps my area nice and hydrated.
This cream causes severe allergic reaction. I do not recommend this product. It took me a week to recover from its negative effects.
I started using La Mer Eye Balm when it first came out. I was living in NYC and it was only being sold at Bergdorf Goodman. I was 35 years old. I purchased one for myself and one for my best friend before they sold out. At the time it cost much less than it does now, though obviously, it was expensive. Im 59 years old now, dont have a single wrinkle around my eyes and there is no better eye cream on the market, period.
used this for a couple of days and noticed the soothing and moisturizing effects. Unfortunately, after day 3, I woke up to puffy, red, itchy under-eyes. Please use with caution!
After using daily for a week my eyelids are red, swollen, and painful. If you research this product a lot of other people have had similar reactions to it and there are lots of photos. Not worth using this at all.
