The Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 50 Lightweight Lotion

I received this in May, used it once, and developed a skin rash. That’s when I checked the label and realized it was already expired (May 2025). I contacted customer service, but they refused to accept an exchange or return. It’s completely unacceptable to sell expired products. Very disappointing!

One of my favorite sunscreens! I love the glow it gives. It’s pricey but worth it in my opinion.

This La Mer UV Protecting Fluid sunscreen is the perfect complement to a morning skincare routine. It has a thin milky texture, similar to Laroche-Posay’s much loved facial sunscreens. It melts into your skin the moment it’s swept on. I’ve used it alone on top of my skincare and it makes an excellent makeup base; I’ve also used it with heavier blurring silicone primers, it played nicely with those as well, no pilling. The scent is very light but typically La Mer luxe. My skin has had no bad reaction to it, including around my eyes. Before this I was using the Dermalogica age defense SPF50, but I think I like the La Mer SPF50 better. I believe it would be appropriate for all skin types due to its very light non-greasy and non-drying texture. Currently I use both La Mer and Perricone MD for my morning routine. When I use La Mer I first apply the Treatment Lotion, then the Concentrate, then the Regenerating Serum, and finally I apply the La Mer UV Protecting Fluid. I don’t use an additional moisturizer, this is usually enough for my skin. When I use Perricone I start with the Neuropeptide Facial Conformer serum or the High Potency Lifting Firming serum, then the Acyl-Glutathione eyelid lift serum (love!!), the Neuropeptide day cream, and finally the La Mer SPF50 Protecting Fluid. I listed out the products I use, so you know that all of these products work very well with this sunscreen, with no pilling or balling up. There’s nothing worse than investing in a sunscreen and finding out it’s not compatible with your skincare. This UV Protecting fluid has a texture that seems to be very tolerant of a wide variety of skincare products!

Expiry date May 2025?! Stop sending expired product and it’s such a big disappointment while received this expired product and I missed giving this gift out to a friend for tomorrow! Now need to find a store to return and no ideas how to get this suncream NOT EXPIRED from any of the Sephora stores. Called customer service, and they have no clue of that! Very disappointing experience and unreliable experience.

Sephora sold me 2 bottles with expiry dates 2 MONTHS from now and will do nothing about it. STOP SELLING EXPIRED SUNSCREEN

Very nice La Mer signature smell; it does not give me dryness or acne. I have very sensitive skin as I am post-menopause, so many skincare give me reactions, but not this one.

I read a lot of good reviews before buying so I felt secure in my purchase but I didn’t work for me, it’s too oily and liquid, the packaging is cheap, leaves the skin oily for a very long time and it looks bigger in the photos than it’s in real life. I have mostly oily skin so maybe it’s the reason it didn’t worked for me, but for what you pay you get little product, you are basically paying for the name.

The absolute best sunscreen ever! Glides on like a dream and gives your skin a glow! Worth the price, and the bottle lasts longer than it looks.

I really like it I was unsure if I would it’s quite expensive but I’m worried about aging skin and sun protection and am quite impressed will repurchase

Love this so much. It sinks into the skin, feels more like skincare very lightweight and plays well with all of my makeup. Also love that it’s a high SPF. Wish they specified PA +rating though ..
