I really wanted to love this primer, especially considering the price, but I’m extremely disappointed with the performance. I have normal skin and purchased The Silk Canvas specifically to create a smoother base and help my makeup wear better throughout the day. Instead, I experienced pilling/peeling during application, and after about 8 hours my foundation looked dry, textured, and separated in several areas. I used a small amount and allowed my skincare and SPF to set before applying it. For a luxury primer at this price point, I expected noticeably better wear and a smoother finish. My makeup actually looked better without adding this extra layer. The packaging and initial texture are beautiful, but the performance simply did not justify the cost for me. I’ll be returning it.

I really want to love this product l, but every time I’ve used it, whether it’s alone or under foundation l, it makes me look tired and dehydrated.
I agree with many reviews, buy if you're 40+, but if you're under 40 with dryer skin, this will work for you as well. I'm 41, have combination dry skin with some fine lines and it blurrs nicely and stops dry patches! I highly reccommend buying your entire skincare from this brand!
I have been using this since the day it arrived and haven’t missed a day since. It’s light enough to create perfect under coverage but thick enough to cover all my little imperfections.
I received this product as a PROMO several months ago and it WORKS. Goes on smooth; face looks flawless. Delivers on its promise. I just hate that it is so pricey. I’m trying to find a less expensive alternative.
Wanted to love this, but it's a huge no for me. All my makeup moved and pilled with this primer. I used Dior Forever Foundation for reference.
i applied it where my pores and under eyes are for smooth base…it made everything look chalky and cakey. not for dry skin as it is marketed idc. will be getting returned. i tried it with two different foundations and concealers (Nars and Armani, BTW and ND) still sucked lolzzzzz.
Moved makeup once applied! As soon as I put my foundation on there was so much piling. For such an expensive product this is NOT worth it. I prefer to just wear it without foundation at this point
The product itself feels really nice but as a makeup primer it was eh. really wanted to like this primer but it wasn’t working with any of the foundations recommend for it. I tried it with my Haus foundation and I felt like it didn’t do much and it creased and separated for me after only a couple of hours..
Best primer ever! I have used this for 3 years now and find this to be the best one out of all the others that I have tried and I have tried many from SOS to PTA to Hourglass and more.
