Blond Absolu Anti-Brass Purple Hair Mask

It helps tone down my brassiness, leaves hair soft, shiny and strong, and smells heavenly! The price is definitely hefty but I feel like the mask will last me quite some time, so worth it IMO.

This product completely changed my life in 1 use. I have been struggling with my bleached blonde hair ever since I moved to a house with well water. My hear has been brassy, ugly, and breaking off. It's been so depressing. Over the past 5 years I've spent a fortune on extensions and even tried going back to my natural dark brunette, and the worst part is that it won't stay blonde without turning brassy. I can sort of get away with that during the summer months when I'm tan, but in the winter it looks absolutely horrible. It was when my 13 year old daughter told met my hair looked like a "hot cheeto" I started researching and came across this mask's good reviews. So I started with the Kerastase Premiere Repairing Treatment for 5 min on wet hair to remove mineral buildup from the well water. Then I cleansed with Kerastase Resistance Strengthening Shampoo (green bottle) before applying this mask all over my collarbone length blonde hair for 5 min. It has a thick consistency and didn't get all over my shower. When I rinsed my hair, I couldn't believe that it had neutralized the tone of my hair without darkening it - something I'd honestly given up on because they can't even usually achieve it in the salon. It looks gorgeous even in the dull grey winter light, and it looks nice next to my skin even without makeup on (which my brassy blonde never achieved - it always looked weird unless I had a full face of makeup). I am so sold on this mask that I immediately ordered the matching purple shampoo to use on the days I'm not masking. I will be married to this product for the rest of my life. It's worth its weight in gold considering I've spent a fortune at salons and different stores trying to solve the brassy hardwater hair issue. Oh, one tip if you say this makes your hair dry: I did go back and condition the ends of my hair with Force Architecte Mask after this for extra hydration, and used Chroma Absolu anti-frizz leave in. Good, but not in love. For the price, I expected to be a bit more wowed. I will try some different products before repurchasing this.

I finally grew out my hair to silver and black - this mask is required! People comment constantly that my silver hair is so shiny and crisp and cool toned. This mask moisturizes and keeps out any hint of yellow when used weekly. I leave it in longer than directed and I do like the slight, slight lavender shine in the sunlight.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This conditioner works really well to combat brassy blonde and it has become a part of my regular hair routine. It’s super effective with just a little product and is extremely hydrating. A little goes a long way. I saw some temporary staining on my hands, but it fully washed off by the end of the shower. All in all, it’s quite effective, especially when used in combination with the shampoo.
