Salicylic Acid 2% Masque Clarifying Charcoal & Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin

I went in expecting a lot more from this mask, and honestly the results were pretty subtle. I didn’t notice any immediate difference in texture or breakouts, but one of my most stubborn acne scars did look slightly faded after just one use, so there might be something to it long-term. Application was easy, it spreads on smoothly and comes off without a fight, and the sting was very minimal, which I appreciated since salicylic acid can sometimes be harsh. I’ll keep using it a bit longer before I fully make up my mind, but for now it’s a solid, low-drama addition to my routine rather than a miracle worker.

I've been struggling with my acne and this is the best thing that has actually worked, make sure you only have it on for 10 minutes because it will get your face red BUT this is the clearest my skin has been in years and I've only used it twice. I also paired with a Salicylic Acid cleanser. So worth it!

I tried The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque because I have blemish-prone skin and was hoping it would help with breakouts. The texture is thick and applies evenly, and I did feel like my skin looked a bit cleaner and less oily after washing it off. However, it didn’t work well for me personally. After using it, my skin became irritated and I experienced an allergic reaction—redness, itching, and small bumps. I stopped using it right away. I think it might work for people who tolerate salicylic acid well, but if you have sensitive skin like mine, I’d recommend doing a patch test first. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t suitable for me.

Best for oily skin, this Clarifying clay mask really helps unclog pores and reduce blackheads. I applied for 2 minutes in the places I needed like on pores, forehead and chin. it tingles a little Leaves skin little red but smoother and matte, this can be drying or can irritate skin if left on too long. Very Affordable, and effective great for acne-prone skin. I use this once a week in the evening. Followed by the everyday skin care.

They’re efficient, effective, and leave my skin feeling truly refreshed. Highly recommend!

I’m sticking to the OG innis free pore mask! This product is too strong for my skin and burnt my face as I applied it. The tingling sensation got better as it dried but left my face red like a bad sunburn. Just make sure to grab a sample first and patch test
