I tried this as a free sample from a Sephora employee. This took off my makeup pretty effectively but as a cleanser for dry skin I wouldn’t recommend as this left my face looking and feeling visibly dry and tight.
This is my favorite cleansing serum/face wash. It is the only thing that cleared up my acne. I don’t like that they changed the bottle, while it feels more luxurious, I like to keep it in the shower and I am nervous it will fall and break.
I’ve been using this face wash for over 2 years now, I have extremely sensitive skin and this has never done me dirty. A staple.
I’m surprised by some of the bad reviews. I love this cleanser, I’m on my 3rd bottle. It washes off my makeup without stripping my skin. I have oily dehydrated skin and I’ve tried so many brands from cheap to expensive and they all strip my skin of all oils or don’t cleanse enough and I get breakouts. This cleanser doesn’t break me out. This cleanser doesn’t remove eye makeup but that doesn’t bother me. I just use eye makeup remover. However it does remove a full face of makeup otherwise. Emulsify it in your hands first, then really work it into your skin, take your time and cleanse well. Afterwards I don’t dry my face but go in with the Sake Essence over wet skin. When my skin air dries then I go in with the Essence again on dry skin again. This is my version of skin flooding. I think if you’ve tried many cleansers and they all strip your skin this one is worth a try. Get a couple sample pots at the store first to see how it goes.

I received a sample of this in my previous Sephora order and I feel in LOVE with it, a little goes a long way and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Almost done with the sample and have already ordered a bottle!
Sadly, this product was a disappointment. After the second use, my skin became irritated, especially around my eyes and next to my nose, which are now red and puffy. My skin feels extremely dry and sensitive, and it burns when I try to use other products. This has left my face uncomfortable and inflamed. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with sensitive or dry skin.
After two days of using it and no change to routine my skin around my nose, cheeks and chin became very irritated and rough. It burns all day long and am hoping it resolves soon. My skin isn't very sensitive or dry but it didn't like this product.
Removes make up and mineral spf from my oily skin. Isn't drying, doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. Super pleasant texture and nice scent. Recommend!
Love Shani’s cleansing serum. Gentle but still does the job of removing makeup & cleaning my skin. The scent is sweet & light! I’ve had the same bottle for 8 months! A little goes a long way.
