Clean Foundation Brush

This brush is one of my favorites for a smooth application. It holds up extremely well and I have to say that I have never had it shed or become easily stained even after using it so much. I believe this brush can take some getting use to when applying foundation and combining it with the flat shape. Even with different stick or cream foundations I find that it does well with the coverage. The end of the brush can be useful when wanting precision because it is soft but slightly firm while the sides can be used for a coverage that is natural and streak free. While I mostly use it for foundation I also like to use it for the Liquid Super Loaded Highlighter when I want it focused in certain facial areas rather than using the Clean Highlighter Blender Brush that performs better for larger areas. Over all I would recommend this if you’re looking for a high quality brush that can be used in a range of ways.

It is clear this brush, like the others of this line, is beautiful, high quality, and well made. However, I am not a makeup artist and found this brush difficult to use correctly with the Westman Atelier foundations. I didn’t understand the bristle shape. The application just ended up streaky. I watched WA videos and tried different angles, pressures, product amts, etc. I just didn’t get it. I also purchased the WA Clean Highlighter Brush and that one works fantastic with all the cream products so far, esp the foundations and Super Loaded Tint Cream Hilighter. For getting into smaller corners, around my nose, etc, using the fingers, as she does, worked better for me than this brush. At this price point, it needed to be able to do something different than the other brush and fingers for me.

I've grown a deep love for flat foundation brushes, how they lay down products, and the coverage they provide. I feel like you can never go wrong with WA brushes. They are the best and worth every penny.

Not a luxurious brush, by any means. So much packaging that goes right into the trash. What a waste. I used it to apply the Westman stick foundation and found it to be a horrible combination. Used the brush with my liquid and it's just as bad. This is for sure a return.

Super soft yet firm bristles, washes super well with a soap bar, and way better than finger for seamless, natural, invisible application of the WA foundation. LOVE!

Bought this right after trying Westman Atelier's Spot Check brush, which I loved using. Upon receiving it I was startled to see that this foundation brush is almost as diminutive as the teensy-tiny Spot Check brush, which gave me some "sticker shock." I scribbled over my face with both the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and the Merit "The Minimalist" stick, then used my brush to sort of pick up the pigments and "paint" them across my skin. (The concept of a two-sided flat "paddle" foundation brush is completely new to me, but I understood in about two seconds.) The short handle makes it incredibly easy to use the brush—I have RA and stiff, sore hands—and the flat brush can get right into the nasal folds for precision coverage. Ordinarily I'm happy to use my fingers with stick foundation, but this brush gave me a natural coverage and finish with no streaks and no product wasted. (At first I did have streaks, so I changed direction of the "paint strokes"—hot tip!) I won't be using a different foundation brush soon.

This brush is very beautiful but you do need to play around with it to figure out the best way to use it with the vital skin foundation stick, cause at first the product looked streaky on my skin after using the brush. It takes some playing around with to figure out the proper techniques as well as using your fingers afterwards to give the most natural effect on the skin

I have been most Fortunate to Have the Entire Brush Collection & They are Extraordinary. I have not purchased New Brushes in over 5 years & was Researching many sets when I found the 1 set that is Worth The Price. They all Blend Beautifully, Bristles are soft yet firm when defining. I have used Everyone & know I will have For Years to come. I use Every Cosmetic Product from Westmanatelier & The Brushes enhance Application. I did contemplate the price but in comparison to others These are the Winners...If within your Budget well You will not be Disappointed..Love it ALL!
