dispenser cap snapped in first use, was difficult to apply and adds too much time to my routine. trying ordinary peptides serum now, and prefer b&b thickening spray for volume over mousse anyways. (long, fine hair)
I wrote a review for the single can awhile back but as a long term user, wanted to follow up with a review of the two pack. This absolutely works. I’m in my fifties and my hair seemed to be thinning and more fragile than ever. So I started using this nightly, going on three years now. Combined with using less heat and bleach on my hair, this has helped my hair thicken up, grow longer, and look better than it has in years. Results won’t happen overnight and it’s not an immediate gratification product, but with continued regular use you will notice stronger thicker hair.
Please note to ppl freaking out over increased hair loss-THAT IS NORMAL ON THIS PRODUCT. It’s called shedding and is easily looked up. Dr Ellis just made a YouTube comment on this.

Yes, this Flourish Minoxidil slowly works. The only downside, it’s expensive, one must use this preferably everyday. I am an older woman and I just turned 57. I have new growth and less thinning.
I’ve been using this for about six weeks so far and I’m seeing results. At first, I thought the thinning was getting worse but now I’m seeing improvement. Patience is key. I also take biotin (Briogeo) and that likely helps too. I have color treated hair and this hasn’t affected the color. Each bottle is supposed to last two months but my first one only lasted six weeks probably because I over dispensed. I recommend getting your hands cold before you dispense (I hold an ice cube for a moment) so the foam retains its form while you apply. Overall I regret only that I waited this long to try it.
If you initially see hair loss from minoxidil…that it normal. The initial hair loss goes away within about 4 weeks or so…and the hairs you lose when you first start using it are hair that were going to fall out anyways. Use this consistently and it will work, be patient
I tried this after using the brand Keranique, that had 2% minoxidil. I did prefer the mouse texture of this to the oily water texture of Keranique. However, I am a bit worried because since using this I have had more hair loss, to the point where I have to clean my shower drain after every shampoo. And to be frank, any additional hair loss is stressful to me, which I’m sure only increases the hair loss….ahhhh. I also recently staring using K-18, which is new to me, so not 100% sure which one is the culprit to the additional hair loss.
minoxidil is effective for hair loss. HOWEVER, if you have cats, keep it away from them! Minoxidil is EXTREMELY toxic to cats (and dogs). Even a drop or two could poison them, or if they come into contact with your pillowcase after you sleep on it with the minoxidil in. Keep your pets safe. This product/Sephora should carry a warning
