nice starting point for retinol newbies. gentle, stable formula that applies and absorbs well. gives just a slight smoothing effect over time, but nothing remarkable especially for the price--there are better and simpler retinols/retinals on the market. the citrusy scent is a bit much.
I used this product for 2 months and did not notice a difference. Additionally, it had a chalky texture and a weird smell. Despite waiting up to 30 min to apply my moisturizer after this, it still pilled off my face indicating to me that it was not being absorbed by my skin, which has not happened with other products.
This product works so well for my friend; however, it broke me out. So it’s definitely a no for me
Been loving this stuff after a month! I was looking for something gentle but effective and this delivers. I wake up with soft and hydrated skin! My dark spots are fading and my texture is greatly approved. Love!

This is hands down the best skincare product I have ever used. I’ve tried other retinols from affordable to $100+ bottles and NOTHING has had such a dramatic effect on my skin. This product makes my skin look pearly, perfectly balanced texture, tone, and hydration. I will use it for life.
Not a huge fan of the smell of this, it’s not pleasant to the nose…but you have to look past that to see if the product is effective or not. I’m pretty pleased with this product because I noticed a change in the look of my pores, they don’t look so open and out there. They look more closed and smooth. I also saw a difference in the way my forehead looked, my wrinkles in the middle of my forehead seem to have diminished. Please with the results I’m seeing so far from Paula’s choice retinol and bakuchiol treatment. I find that 2 pumps is the perfect amount for the entire face, not too little and not too much- just right !
Paula’s Choice is really great at creating effective but gentle formulas! I was able to seamlessly add this to my skincare routine without any irritation - and I have super sensitive skin. The texture is not too thick, it’s a nice light cream. Excited to keep using this, I’ll keep an eye out on the results!

I am obsessed with this retinol treatment. I used it for a month and I noticed how the wrinkles reduced under the eye area, skin became smooth and I got even skin tone. Absolutely worth its price. Will definitely get another bottle
