Great under makeup
This serum does an excellent job controlling my oily skin. I use it in the morning under my makeup and I notice a huge difference in how my makeup looks at the end of the day. My skin is way less oily and my makeup holds up much better. I alternate with Glow recipe niacinimide which I use on no makeup days. I prefer this serum as it does a better job controlling oil. My product has a slight brown color which is off putting but it works fine. Highly recommend..

Used to love
This was my favorite niacinamide serum since I found it years ago. I am so sad that my most recent came brown colored and stings my skin. I hope they figure out whatever issue they’re having, as I’ve seen many people complain theirs came brown too. Sunday Riley has said that their product is still effective and it’s an esthetic issue, but I’m not so sure.

I received a brown-colored serum, even though many reviews and product images show a purple-colored formula. Because I did not start using it immediately, I discovered the color difference after the return window had passed. For a product at this price point, this was very disappointing. Since I have never used a purple-colored bottle, I cannot compare the performance or determine whether the color difference affects the product.

Unfortunately, I don’t recommend this product. The serum is supposed to be purple, but every time I purchased it, it arrived brown. I repurchased it multiple times hoping it was a batch issue, but they were all the same, so I returned them.
