I received a deluxe sample of this and did not like it, it was messy, difficult to remove, got under my fingernails and again diffusion remove. I felt that it left a residue on my face. I love the original formula, but this is a pass for me!

Dried out my skin so much, especially around my eyes. I bought it specifically for eyeliner and mascara. I miss the original version instead of this charcoal.
This cleansing balm does a decent job at removing light makeup. It is easy to use and leaves my skin feeling clean & refreshed. If I am wearing eyeliner, I use an eye makeup remover first, as I find this product doesn’t remove eyeliner well.
This isn’t anywhere as good as the original version without charcoal. It makes such a mess and it is hard to tell if everything has been removed because the product itself is black. Please bring back the original formula.

This was my go-to for years. Once they introduced the new formula with charcoal I stopped purchasing. It works just as well as the old formula but the charcoal accumulates around my eyes and is hard to remove.
The messiest way of removing your make up. The charcoal gets on your hands, hair, wrists… And then you still have mascara on your face and have to use another product. Fun to try out, won’t buy again.
just a terrible product. hardly works, stains, breaks out and irritates skin. nothing like the original balm. stay away, especially if sensitive skin
