Self-Tanning Mousse

I’ve been using this product for years, and as others have mentioned, they recently changed the product formula and it now comes out as a brown color, is extremely streaky and does not apply well.

The actual product is great. However, the packaging seems consistently terrible. It stops pumping half way through the bottle, if not sooner. It's been multiple bottles, hoping the next would be ok. I still poor it on the mitt to use, but I may now have to find another self tanner unfortunately. Or just stick with the drops.

I bought this on vaca because I forgot my normal stuff. It’s not as dark as I like, I’ll get the dark formula next time. What I do like is it has no noticeable smell. I don’t smell musty while I marinate. I also like that it doesn’t transfer to my clothes at all. I really like it!

Possibly the worst company you could buy tanning products from. Their products are always faulty. I bought their tanning mousse in April, but have procrastinated using it for a little bit. Before opening mine, I used my mom’s tanning mousse (the exact same one from isle of paradise) and after one pump the foam barely came out. I put it over half of my leg, then went to pump it again, and only liquid came out. I kept shaking it to try and get the foam to come out, but it wouldn’t, and the foam only barely came out and then I got the product in liquid form all over me. I thought maybe my mom’s was just expired or something, so I try mine that is brand new and has never been opened before and it did the exact same thing. I tried searching for it on tiktok to see how you could fix it, and just saw dozens of people also complaining that this brand sucks. Not to mention that it’s so expensive for it to not even work the first time it’s used?!? Use St. Tropez instead. Their product is so much better and actually works.

I have never self tanned before and this is 1000% beginner friendly. But I would definitely recommend getting one of the tanning mitts it makes it sooo easy. I left it on overnight and rinsed it of in the morning. The color is perfect . At first I really liked the smell it smelled like a good cologne but then in the morning it smelled a little weird but not to bad. I love this product sooo much and i will def be repurchasing! rinsed

I bought this by mistake thinking it was the one that goes on clear and doesn’t stain your sheets. Regardless of my mistake, even as a regular self tanning mousse I would not recommend. It goes on streaky and doesn’t last as long

This is the first self tanner I’ve ever purchased. A Sephora employee helped me pick it out. I had a farmers tan from my job and needed to fix it fast, as well as make my legs match. It works super fast. I put it on when I did my evening skincare and washed it off in my morning shower. Works really fast.

The formula isn’t too orange and does leave a nice tan, however it is streaky. No matter how much I spend time rubbing it in I always end up with streaks. I don’t know what I should be doing differently

I used to buy this product for years, the mousse (white) or the liquid (clear), and I was always very satisfied with the results. The last time I purchased it was in March 2026, and to my surprise, the formula had changed. Now it's an awful product: brown, staining and difficult to apply. It leaves residue on the skin like brown dust, just a nightmare. Don't buy!!!
