I knew I had to buy this oil when I used the sample, went to the doctor that afternoon, and 3 staff members complimented me! I could hear them outside my exam room door talking about how good I snelled, so you know I had to RUN and purchase the full-size. I received this bottle at Christmas, and 3 months later have only gone through about 10%, so this bottle lasts a while. I’ve seen some reviews saying that the sample smelled different, but I did not have this experience. I will buy this many times over!

I’ve wanted to try this brand for some time, & I’m quite glad I did. No. 13 Nouvelle Vague starts in a seaside cottage’s garden surrounded by delicate, salty blossoms. The scent evolves as if the wearer is sipping a citrus-forward cocktail— the oil from a lemon rind hits the back of your throat with a dry, but pleasing note. The longer you sniff, the more complex the scene— with lush (& slightly soapy) green vetiver notes and the sweetness of fig taking the stage. The finale— Cynosure if you will— is the ambery warmth that bundles this scent into a beautiful, skin-like fragrance. It’s clean, it’s earthy, it’s warm— it’s beautiful. Bravo, Maison Louis Marie.
