The product description, how to use directions and even promotional videos suggest this be applied after moisturizers, serums, etc. but the actual label states this is to be applied BEFORE all that. Did I think that was a bit odd and find myself rereading labels on all my other primers? Yes. Do I think this step makes ALL the difference with this product? Also yes. This has something of a firm jelly-like texture and doesn’t have that slippery, silicone-y spread that virtually all other primers do. It’s a bit peculiar, if I am honest , but probably why so many have reported pilling- I can absolutely see that happening if after hydrating. Applied UNDER moisturizer (and allowed to “absorb”) it seems to emulsify and does actually fill pores/scars. It also has surprisingly good longevity with VERY little transfer. As an oily-gal, by mid-day I almost expect T-zone shine and foundation fingerprints if I touch my face, but haven’t experienced much of that at all. I also haven’t experienced anything in the way of breakouts that I would contribute to this primer. Overall, I have been super impressed! For anyone for whom this product has failed, I definitely urge you to give it another go but FOLLOW THE LABEL!

I really like this primer. I’m not a fan of sticky primers so I’m always on the hunt for a good silicone one. Highly recommend.

Not as good as recommended; it did not hide any scars, instead making the skin look dry, and the spot was still visible.

I have acne-prone skin and was searching for a product that could smooth and prime my acne scars before applying makeup. I was recommended this product, so I decided to give it a try. It contains retinol and salicylic acid, which are ingredients I already use in my prescription topicals. I was cautious about adding this product to my routine because I didn’t want to dry out my skin or worsen the acne that is still active on my face. To my surprise, the addition of this product didn’t cause any negative effects when combined with my prescription topicals. I’ve noticed that it helps create a more even texture, making it easier and more uniform to apply foundation. As a beginner at wearing makeup, I make sure to let each product set or dry for an extended time before applying the next layer to allow my skin to adjust as well as not pill due to the prescription topicals. I usually apply this product 15-20 minutes after my prescription topical and moisturizer, allowing it to set for about 10 minutes before layering with the next step. I understand that you may not need to wait that long, but I’m being cautious until I become more experienced and my skin adjusts to this new routine. Overall, this product has been very effective in preparing my acne-prone skin for foundation application. It has helped to create a more even texture, making it easier to apply makeup. If you’re looking for a product that can help fill in acne scars and even out skin texture from active acne bumps, I highly recommend giving this product a try.

This stuff is seriously amazing. I don’t really use it for scar filling specifically but it’s the best primer I’ve ever used. It extends the wear of my foundation and creates such a smooth buttery surface that prevents my make up from creasing or looking too cakey. I like using it around my eyes, crows feets and under eyes since, anywhere that I have fine lines from movement. It Also drastically reduces the appearance of pores. The formula is kind of like a thick gel but goes on so lightweight. Not sticky or greasy.

Terrible product. What a complete waste of money. It does nothing to fill scars, it actually made them look worse. Tacky, sticky, horrible. It didn't help with shallow, small scars let alone any of significance. I applied exactly as directed and even allowed it to dry for longer than suggested. So disappointing. I would give it negative stars if I could.

If I wanted a nice primer to help makeup adhere a little longer, then this would have been fine...but this product was marketed specifically to FILL SCARS and even more specifically, to fill ACNE SCARS. This does absolutely nothing for that. I have large pores, but no pitting and a scar on my forehead that is as shallow as your average wrinkle. This primer couldn't even smooth that line over. I'm very disappointed and can't imagine it could work for anyone who has more significant pitting or scar depth. If all I wanted was a regular primer, there a dozen more that I would pick first - I'll be returning this one.
