I have used this product for years and have loved it for a long time. My most recent purchase was a huge disappointment. The moisturizer in the new bottle was thicker, not white(more cream colored), and was not as hydrating. It smelt less sunscreeny. It also made my skin a little sensitive and made my makeup separate. I reached out to customer service to see if there was a formula change since there was no advertisement for a formula change. They informed me that there was no formula change and that there may be variations between batches and that’s probably what happened. They refused to replace my product. The formulas listed on the bottles are in fact different. The ingredients listed on their website and also on Sephora’s are showing the old formula. I am unsure if this one bottle was a mistake or if they just flat out lied to me about a formula change.

I’m a white woman, 47, fair skin. I love this product, it’s really not much different than the regular Kiehls moisturizer. I’ve had zero issues with makeup application after during this product. I tend to have dry skin.
Makes my face extremely greasy. I have normal to dry skin otherwise. It’s hard to wear makeup with it. Great to wear when camping and not wearing a full face.
I agree with the other reviews that this leaves my skin feeling oily/greasy, which is not great for my already oily skin, especially in the summer when I would need the sun protection most.
The only sunscreen I have EVER used that didn’t sting my under eyes. HOLY GRAIL
Great product! Moisturizes and protects me from the sun. I use it on my face and body. Always on my face, neck, arms and hands before leaving the house.
I’ve been using Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer for the past few months and was surprised by my experience. Despite its positive reviews, it didn’t hydrate my skin much. The texture felt like greasy sunscreen and left parts of my face dry. It didn’t meet my expectations for a moisturizer.
I'm most of the way through a bottle and I'm loving it. It goes on smoothly, feels great , doesn't leave white streaks and builds well with a primer after. It's my go-to and I don't leave the house without it on.
Love it! Very moisturizing. I have dry skin and I use this over my morning serum. I do not need another moisturizer after it. My makeup does fine over it. Skin stays more dewy with this underneath. I paid for this myself.
