I have locs and also a section of my hair that isn’t locked, I found it wasn’t overly stripping and the scent was good. Herbal rosemary scent with a good lather as well. Does contain synthetic parfum and rosemary as parfum ingredients. It did stink my eyes like crazy so if you have a preference in that area please be mindful of that when purchasing. It was not bad but didn’t strip my hair as much as I’d like and the irritation in my eyes was a no go for me. Good product if you’re looking for something not overly stripping and want a routine good for minimizing damage while hair growth is optimized.

I rarely buy a shampoo twice, but this one is worth a second bottle. You don’t need a lot because it lathers up and cleans with a small amount. I find the scent very pleasant and not in your face at all. I don’t notice the smell after rinsing. It has also reduced shedding and helped me regrow my hair after it started thinning. It does not soften my hair, but a good conditioner helps with that issue. I would recommend this to anyone who has thinning hair or just likes a great sensory experience where the scent isn’t overwhelming.
