Believe the Hype.
I bought this kit as my first introduction to Kerastase. I'd heard the hype and wanted to see for myself how "simple" hair care items could be priced so high. Well, for me, the hype is true. The scent of the shampoo in this set, IMO, is more citrus/herbal and pure indulgence. And yes, a little goes a long way, so you don't need much. I used a dime-sized amount for my shoulder length hair and got tons of lather. The conditioner is a lovely light floral, and the leave-in heat lotion is also a light, but different floral. They all give gentle layers of conditioning, and ultimately, the result is tangle-free shine and body. The scent is not heavy and cloying, but subtle and demure, and does not overpower. Will be buying the full size items next. As to value, personally, I'd rather have concentrated quality than splashy mediocrity. No hair care is a "bargain" if it doesn't really work.
