Retrospect™ L’Extrait de Parfum

Love the scent it’s almost women and men perfume mixed! Got it for my older sister birthday she loved it she says she always gets compliments when wearing it!!

For yeeeeears I’ve been trying to find a something to replace my beloved Stella McCartney perfume and until Retrospect, I hadn’t been able to. This scent is SO stunning. You know when you smell a perfume that just gives off a vibe like, this is expensive? That’s what this one always leaves me thinking. It smells rich without being overwhelming. How Merit has managed to create a scent that is so luxuriously pleasing while also being subtle is beyond me, but I am VERY glad that they have! It’s one of those scents that are instantly classic in the longevity on the market it could have, but also weaves a unique pear note that makes it so unique. I get compliments on it ALL the time - my boss who doesn’t like any scents at all even asked me what I was wearing! It’s a perfect every perfume that has filled that empty void for me 🍐

I wouldn’t repurchase this product. It has an unusual and powdery smell. It’s strange because when I smelled it on a friend, I loved it. However, when I bought it myself, I don’t feel like it smells the same.

A staple in my collection! I am just recently getting into scents, as I have sensitive skin, and am prone to migraines. This is one of maybe 4 I will always continue to purchase (The others being Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Dior Blooming, Glossier You,) as it isn’t cloying, it works in any weather, goes with any event, and smells refined. Not like a cheap body spray, or cheap perfume. It has pear but done in a beautiful way.

It’s a unique scent. Reminds me a night out, wearing a leather jacket and red lipstick. I had wanted to try it for a while and glad I did. Very nice and mysterious fragrance

It smells absolutely divine! I visited the store to purchase a Merit cream eyeshadow and, out of curiosity, took a whiff of their perfume, and OMG, I had to have it. It's a medley of clean, floral, and fruity notes, perfectly balanced with no one note overpowering another. I wear it alone or sometimes mix it with a wood/amber fragrance. My only wish is that the fragrance would have longer staying power on the skin. I also tend to spray my hair and clothes so the scent lingers longer. I love this scent so much that when people ask what I'm wearing, I hesitate to tell them because I want to be the only one who smells this great :)

It’s fine, but I feel like this perfume doesn’t last at all. The scent is alright, a nice muted and ambiguous smell. However, it falls a bit flat which might be suitable if you want a subtle, simple smell

I received a sample and have been applying it once in the morning and once before bed. Now from reading the ingredients, this is not something I would have ever picked up because I am a fruity, sweet and gourmand girl through and through. The first spray made me rethink all that I felt about the top and heart notes. I love pear but everything else gave me pause. Now I smell my writ throughout the day. I do believe I will purchase the larger size because I am impressed.

I love it so much i needed to purchase more before i ran out again. I wear almost everyday. It’s light but just enough scent and last for hours, but still smells expensive. Worth every penny. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this and cuddles from my bf 😇
