Superactive Mattifying Oil + Pore Control Moisturizer SPF 50 with Salicylic Acid

I loved the previous version the new formula is very poor quality. It is not Matt and it reacts to other products so I can’t wear it with foundation. They need to bring the old formula back because this is awful awful!

I like the packaging. The product feels luxurious on my skin. I don’t notice a scent. I have acne prone skin but it didn’t break me out. It’s not mattifying or useful as a primer. Worst of all it stings my eyes. 

I have tried almost every single brand of sunscreen for my combination/acne prone skin. This one is the best so far. I have used it for a week now. No break out or under skin clogging/bumps. My skin after application feels very nicely balanced. does not look too matt/dry nor does it feel oily. It does not flake/peel off like Anthelios 60. It does not leave white cast.

Very hydrating, no white cast at all, but unfortunately no longer mattifies since they reformulated. It makes my skin look very glowy. I love the pump packaging! I am very acne-prone and this doesn’t break me out at all.

I’ve been using this sun screen for 6 months and I can confidently say it’s truly an amazing product. It does not clog your pores or cause breakouts. I’ve been dealing with acne for about 2 years now. And it’s great! No break outs, it’s smooth and pore minimizing and most importantly hreat under your make up!!hornmonal

I’d give it a 3.5 star. New packaging is worse than before. I need to use is longer for full review. The only thing I’ve noticed that I didn’t like feeling like it’s rubbing off my skin like an eraser. .

It makes me sooooo sad because the old spf 45 version was perfection, chef’s kiss! I was sad to see they reformulated and it just doesn’t live up to how well its predecessor worked! I rarely had shine with the old version and it didn’t ever cause breakouts…this new one does. I don’t know what ingredient specifically is causing them and the shine. I just can’t kick the acne I’ve gotten since using this and I’m in my mid-30s, but can’t find many other matte spfs out there either. I wish they’d bring the old version back… such a bummer!

No i don’t think this product from Murad has a scent/fragrance besides smelling like sunscreen/moisturizer. This product felt super hydrating and smooth only after applying on my face. I also use it as a primer because it covers well enough my pores on my nose. There’s was also no sheer color left behind. The applicator is great and cool different than other moisturizer’s with SPF that I have used.

i'm 53 yo and have been using this product for many, many years. each time they've come out w/ a 'new and improved version' i get nervous that i won't like it anymore. fortunately, i love the changes they've made to this latest version. this version doesn't pill up on my skin when applying it over other products (the last version did). i also like that it now has a pump top, but you can remove the pump to squeeze the product out when it starts to get low. i don't wear makeup, so this is the only thing i put on my face after any treatment products. it keeps my oily t-zone looking fresh, and doesn't aggravate the rosacea on my cheeks and chin. it's also unscented so it doesn't irritate my eyes. i hope that murad never stops making this!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] It feels more like a soft, lightweight primer than a heavy sunscreen, which surprised me in a good way. When I apply it, it goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly, and gives my skin a nice matte finish without feeling dry or tight. I have combination skin, and this does a great job keeping the shine away throughout the day, especially in my T-zone area. My pores look more blurred when I wear it, and I notice my makeup applies better on top of it too. The scent in my opinion is subtle, but it’s there. It smells clean and slightly herbal, kind of like a soft citrus and tea tree blend, but it fades quickly once it’s on my skin. I like it, it makes the application feel more refreshing without being overpowering or like a strong perfume fragrance. The sunscreen didn’t irritate my skin at all, which is always a plus for me with scented products. On really hot and humid days, I did notice a bit of shine peeking through by the afternoon, but nothing too bad and I still feel like my skin looks smoother than usual.
