Didn't open the cleanser but when I opened the moisturizer there was red gunk all around the rim of the packaging and inside as well under the lid. Returning! And won't be repurchasing even though I was red to try the moisturizer as it seems to have good ingredients. Also the moisturizer sample is extremely small and really not a good value imo with Canadian prices at least

I was excited to try the Skinfix Balancing Cleanse + Moisturize Kit because I have really liked the products that I have used from Skin Fix in the past. The kit contains 2 products: Ceramide +Ectoin Gentle Gel Cleanser and Barrier Balancing Water Cream. Both products have their pros and cons. The pros for the cleanser are that it lathers really well and my face felt hydrated after just washing it. The the major con for me for the cleanser is that it is a very thin, runny consistency. Becuase of that, I fell like too much domes out of the container without even squeezing it and therefore I over use the product (waste). The pros for the water cream are the consistency and the container. This product is also a very thin consistency, but because it is in a pot I am able to lightly dip my finger in and use just enough product. I put six small dabs on my face and it was the perfect amount to massage in and leave my face feeling refreshed and hydrated. A pro for both products is that there is no fragrance. I will definitely continue to use this product and try to find a way to get less product to come out of the cleanser container.

I have oily combination skin that is also acne-prone. I have a strict morning and night skincare routine and follow it to a tee. This means when I travel I also follow this regimen. I love this set as it's travel size and perfect for vacations. The cleanser made my face feel clean but not stripped. Though I have oily skin I don't like my skin to feel tight or dry afterwards. This was a good balance between cleanliness and nourishment. The cream is perfect for my skin type especially now that it's summer. I don't reach for heavy moisturizers as they can clog my pores. I have used this and not only does it feel light but very moisturizing at the same time. Both of these are the perfect duo and they make my face feel balanced, not too dry and not too oily.
