Salt Scalp Scrub Exfoliating Detox Shampoo with AHA & BHA

I am 35 and have always had fine hair. Lately, it has been the thickest it has ever felt. I purchased this scrub after watching an influencer post about how it makes her hair feel incredible, so I wanted to give it a try. And just… no. I get that it’s a detox so I was expecting some additional hair loss in the shower, but Jesus H. It feels like I have 8 whole hairs left on my head that are fighting for their lives. My husband, who has a thick head of hair now has a new product added to his side of the shower niche. RIP thick-feeling hair. 2026-2026

This made me break out like never before. All in my hairline, forehead, small bumps behind ears. I don’t think I broke out like this even in high school. Could’ve been the fragrance? It’s very strong. Scalp and hair effects were negligible, breakouts sooooo bad.

This is a good Salt Scrub. Doesn’t dry out hair and leaves it soft and smooth. The scent is subtle and doesn’t last long, which is great because I have sensitive skin. I do however wish they made the salt more dispersed throughout instead of mostly on the top because there is less underneath. This is gentle enough for everyday use and lathers pretty decently. You don’t need much.

Interesting concept using salt as a scalp scrub and detox shampoo. It is meant to cleanse, detoxify, and life away buildup, making hair feel smooth and refreshed after use. The packaging is very luxurious and I was surprised by the refreshing minty scent of the product. It definitely reminds me of the products that spas use. I only use this once a week max for my thin/fine hair and after a few uses, I don't prefer it compared to other products. It could be my hair type but I feel like it is lacking in execution.

The Roz Salt Scalp Scrub Exfoliating Shampoo comes in a beautifully packaged container. Upon opening the container, you almost need to check to make sure this isn’t a salt scrub for your face considering the ingredients include Salicylic Acid. However, upon placing it into my hand to prepare to wash my hair, you could feel the different blends of sea salts. It felt like it lathered up my hair well once I added enough product as I have thicker hair. It feels luxurious and I really enjoyed the smell as well. As I was scrubbing my scalp with this exfoliating shampoo, I could feel my scalp getting a deep clean. I left it in my hair for a few moments before using one of the traditional conditioners that I own. My scalp felt clean, shiny. I am someone who washes my hair every third day and felt I could actually go a fourth day, it felt that clean.  Once you have used this product to scrub your scalp, it is like any other exfoliating product, where I would not use this more than once every ten days. I felt my hair had great volume after this exfoliating shampoo. I would recommend this product to anyone; I felt the ingredients were high quality and excellent.

This scalp scrub is honestly not bad at all! The smell is very pleasant! It has a nice herbal scent to it that isn’t over powering. It’s a very rich consistency so working it through the scalp can be somewhat difficult, I recommend making sure your hair is very wet. But in my opinion I don’t feel like there was enough salt in there for the scrub to properly clean the scalp. And with the salt being at the very top of the container i feel like the more you go into it the less “scrub” there is. I will say it does lather very nicely and definitely cleans amazing! My hair was shiny for days and I was even able to go longer without washing my hair. Over all it wasn’t bad at all I definitely do love the result I got while using this scalp scrub and would recommend buying it.

The idea is great. Scent is great and spa-like. Packaging is beautiful. The “scrub” component leaves something to be desired. In a generous scoop of the product, I only felt about three, very coarse, uneven granules. Didn’t do anything for my hair or scalp.

I use this weekly and love it! I pair it with a conditioning mask so my hair doesn’t get too dry. The rose scent is lovely and really lingers.
