Sacred Santal Mandelic Acid Brightening Deodorant Gel with 48-Hour Odor Protection

I only used aluminum deodorants prior to this. I switched to a different aluminum free brand that darkened my armpits. I heard about the brightening effects of Cyklar and tried it. I truly fell in love. This is my third week of using it. By the end of the first week, my armpits were bright, though there was bad odor still. At the end of the second week, I found the odor start to lessen — I’m sure that has to do with my body adjusting to the aluminum free. I’m at the start of the third week and can’t really smell the bad odor and my armpits are not dark anymore. Things to note about this deo: 1. It may take time for your body to adjust. 2. LET IT DRY! I’ve found that not letting it dry can cause it to feel sticky and be more smell inducing. 3. It may not be for everyone & everyone is different.

This is my second bottle, and I absolutely love Cyklar! I use several of their products, including the body oil, perfume, hand and body moisturizer, and shower products. Everything smells amazing! This product has made such a difference for my underarms. They look much brighter and any unpleasant odor is completely gone. I’ll definitely keep repurchasing! Just be careful not to use it right after shaving because it can sting.

Smells incredible.. but did not work for me. It became a mix of sweat, no and santal. Had high hopes really disappointed it didn’t work.

Just purchased and was excited to try based on positive reviews…..clearly we’re all incentivized. As some other people mentioned the roller ball does not work at all. I do love the scent, will be returning this bottle but would try again if the company fixes the quality issue.

I am fascinated by this product; I love its scent—bergamot, woods, and velvet musk, among other notes. It doesn't irritate my underarms, and best of all, with consistent use, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the dark discoloration I sometimes get there. It applies easily, dries quickly, doesn't stain my clothes, and offers 100% protection against odor. My underarms stay protected all day long.

It actually works. Yes you still sweat so it’s not my primary deodorant but I use it on days where I’m doing minimal active. Helps significantly with my hyperpigmentation.

I had used this deodorant before with no issues, so I purchased it again. Unfortunately, after using this latest one, I developed a painful, itchy rash under my arms. I stopped using it, and the irritation started to improve. I’m not sure if the formula changed or if I developed a sensitivity over time, but I wanted to share my experience so others with sensitive skin are aware. It smelled great and worked well for odor, but I won’t be purchasing it again because of the skin reaction.

Liked it at first, but then it gave me dermatitis and darkened my underarms. I used it every 3 days due to the mandelic acid. I have very fair and sensitive skin.

Beautiful glass bottle, and great scent (it kind of smells like summer in a bottle). However, as an African American woman who had hardly any hyperpigmentation before I used this deodorant, this significantly darkened my armpits. PLEASE BEWARE that this can happen. I will not reuse or recommend.
