This is an amazing foundation. The texture is so nice, almost like a mousse given how light it is. Buildable without ever feeling heavy. The finish is so natural looking. First time wearing on a humid summer night in Chicago and I received a ton of compliments on how nice my skin looked. I think the matte claim is true but expect some shine to come through after several hours of wear. With a setting powder and spray, I maybe need to blot once during the day. I hope the formula of this foundation never changes.

The foundation is lovely...perfect for me. But after using about a month, the packaging failed. i unlocked it, gently pressed and NOTHING. Tried immersing it in warm water about locking and unlocking it a few times second bottle this happened with. Buyer beware

I had misplaced my foundation and needed to purchase one for big events since I don’t usually wear full makeup daily, and I was recommended to try the new Rare Beauty line since it’s new and popular. I really wanted to love it but unfortunately after the application and setting my face, the foundation started to splotch on my face and separate. It just was separating and it made me look like I had a rash with it dotting my face. I had to mix my concealer with it and try to salvage my makeup for the party as fast as I could. I wanted to use it again because I thought it was me who didn’t apply it properly but once I tried it did the same thing. I eventually want to return it just because I have no use for it at all and it’s just sitting in my makeup bag and not to say it won’t work for anyone’s skin type but it just didn’t work on mines unfortunately.

I use other foundations but they weren’t like all day one, but this one is amazing and stays my whole shift and it’s lightweight (work at McDonald’s kitchen in reference)

It blends effortlessly, doesn’t feel cakey, and evens out my complexion without looking heavy. It lasts for hours and still looks fresh by the end of the day. I had high hopes for this foundation but I just cannot get it to work for me. I have combo/oily skin. A bit of skin texture but nothing too crazy. I do good skin prep before any foundation which usually makes my skin look pretty flawless with most foundations but this foundation always seems to grab on to any type of skin texture and just enhances it. I’ve tried different moisturizers and different sunscreens but nothing seems to work that well for me with this foundation. It looks ok initially on my cheeks but seems to bunch up around my nose and as stated earlier it grabs onto any type of skin texture - any dry patches (even when moisturized), bumps, pores, etc and just enhances it. It does seem to soften up throughout the day and look a bit more smooth but all-in-all it’s just a patchy foundation that doesn’t work for my skin. Please note it does dry very quickly so you’ll want to do your face in sections.

I'm indifferent, the picture posted is the foundation alone(shade4) with a milky toner, a moisturizer and hue drops underneath....it still looks dry... I do have dry leaning skin but not super dry...it does look better with products on top and once some oils start to come through but it states not to use a primer underneath so I feel my pores still peak through,they are minimized but not to my preference. I LOVE Rare beauty but this was just okay...long wearing which is a plus but not for dry skin.. it's not my favourite, not even top 5. I do recommend because it looks amazing on my more oily skin friend.

I wanted to like this foundation because the shade is probably one of the best shade matches I have had in a while, but the foundation itself is not good. I have used multiple primers, setting sprays and powders, not matter what I use to set it transfers. I can't touch my face at all with out the foundation coming off. It settles pretty badly into creases and lines. Around my nose, it settled into the cheek/nose line and is extremely noticeable. It settles badly into the under eyes. It is also very patchy and gets worse though out the day. I have oily skin and have used matte foundation for years, this is the first one that dries up and is flaky/patchy. It does not have good wear at all, by the end of my work day (in an air conditioned office) I look a patchy mess and barely any coverage left.

I know my shade generally across all foundations is “light warm”. Anything light with a yellow undertone. I was surprised that this shade is more “fair warm”. Way too light. I exchanged for shade 12, which is interestingly also described as light warm, but this shade is too dark and it has more of a neutral undertone. Now I'm trying to get shade 10, which is described as a light warm, but specifically warm olive, and we'll see how it works.
