I received this as a free sample from PINCHme. I use it on top of my ILIA foundation and it works well to make my face appear smooth and matte. It's easy to apply and stayed on all day. I removed it with soap and water and haven't had any negative reactions. I'll definitely continue to use this to reduce oiliness and visible pores
I usually love ilia products but this one didn’t do anything for me really. I love their mascaras and lip formulas but this powder wasn’t for me. My face still looked kinda greasy.
I’ll be honest, I had never heard of ILIA before trying this, so I really didn’t know what to expect. As someone with normal-to-dry skin, I’m usually cautious with finishing powders because they can quickly make my skin look flat, dry, or emphasize texture. This one completely surprised me. The thing I love most is the way it actually seems to soften the appearance of my skin rather than just sit on top of it. The powder is incredibly fine, and once it’s pressed into the skin, it gives that almost “soft-focus filter” effect. My pores and little areas of texture look more diffused, but my skin still looks like skin. It doesn’t give me that heavy, powdered-over appearance. I also really appreciate the finish. It takes away unwanted shine without completely killing the natural dimension of my face, which is especially important with my normal-to-dry skin. I can use it where I need it without feeling like I’ve powdered my entire face into oblivion. It leaves my makeup looking smoother and more polished while still looking soft and natural. Another little detail I noticed is how well it works around areas where powder can usually be unforgiving. Instead of immediately making my skin look dry or emphasizing texture, it gives everything a more blurred, refined appearance. It’s one of those products where you notice the overall finish more than you notice that you’re wearing powder. The one thing I didn’t really care for is the applicator. I personally prefer using a brush because I feel like I have much better control over how much product I’m applying, especially since I don’t need a lot of powder with my skin type. The powder itself is beautiful—the applicator just isn’t my favorite way to apply it. Overall, this was such a pleasant surprise from a brand I had never tried before. I went in with zero expectations and came out genuinely impressed.
I was skeptical to try another powder because I find powders to be drying and show on my skin especially as the day goes on. This one doesn’t. I’m really happy to have found this powder for my combo skin.

I am not enjoying this product. I bought it to use as an afternoon touch-up when I start to get shiny. I was specifically looking for cruelty-free and something with an applicator. I think the powder is too hard and the applicator too spongy for this to be effective. Also, the surface of the powder gets affected by oil too quickly. Having a soft applicator would probably make a big difference, but I will be looking elsewhere when I'm done with this one.
I used this and I absolutely love it! It literally kept my face from looking oily the whole day. It makes my skin smooth and keeps it hydrated the whole day. Highly recommend
I received the Light shade through pinchme, and I really enjoyed using this finishing powder. It feels lightweight, sets my makeup without looking cakey, and gives my skin a soft, blurred finish. It also helps control shine for several hours while still looking natural. I like that it doesn't dry out my skin or change the color of my foundation. Overall, it's a great everyday finishing powder, and I would recommend it if you're looking for a natural, shine-controlling finish.
Soft, silky texture that glides on the skin. The wear is lightweight and comfortable. There was a subtle blur effect, and it definitely helped manage oil control, especially in the hot Summer sun. Buildable powder that never feels heavy or cakey. Another favorite from Ilia. (Received complimentary in exchange for my honest review).
Nice texture, of course, and I love a lot of Ilia stuff, but this was too shiny for me. I was hoping for more like the cloud set powder type finish but it’s too shiny for that and isn’t actually mattifying or blurring, which is what I want in a touch up powder to take on the go.
