I never write reviews, but I needed to here. I LOVE banana anything. I love every alleged note in this perfume. Once sprayed, it smelled nice for a couple seconds, but the dry down lost any hint of banana. I agree with other comments that mention a plastic, powdery, almost rancid, bug spray type of smell. Bummer.
I adore this scent & kept going back for more sniffs. I think it’s better than dedcool mochi milk because mochi banane has this nuttiness that turns into the powdery sweetness like magic. The best vanilla parfum I’ve smelled.
Pleasant but not banana or bananae or whatever lol
I love banana scents, so of course I was so excited when this fragrance launched. the opening is a heavy sweetness, that dries down to a generic skin scent on me. I don't get any banana in this fragrance at all unfortunately.
As a lover of banana scents, I was so disappointed in Mochi Banane. I tested it a few times, and every time it smelled like bug spray and/or moth balls. None of the notes, just chemicals whether I sprayed on paper or on skin. I usually don’t return perfumes, but unfortunately I had to return this one. This is not blind buy safe at all which sucks since the brand isn’t carried in my local store.
Owch, reading the reviews for this has been painful. I don't think is going to be for everyone, but it is for ME! I loved this at first spray. I will admit that it is very powdery. Starts off very starchy, like mochi, and the dry down is kind of weird. Stay with me here... There is indeed some sort of plasticky, rubber tire-like scent in between the first spray and dry down. And I know that sounds awful but it's really not that bad and doesn't last long. I don't even notice it while wearing it, it only stood out to me when I was testing this out and obsessively sniffing my wrist to try to figure out what this perfume was all about. The dry down is lovely- pleasantly sweet and very vaguely tropical. I know that Nette describes the banana note to be specifically derived from some sort of exotic blue Java banana... I'm not familiar with what that's supposed to be like, but I insist that this isn't a candy banana scent, and it's barely a banana fruit scent. It really kinda smells like cracking open a banana, and the vague banana-y smell that comes from the peel... There's not a lot of projection here but I think it's a really fun, personal scent that others might not notice. Anyway, if you're down to try something different, and you're open to something more powdery, starchy, and unique smelling, Mochi Banane is for you.
This has a very unique scent and smells very powdery. At first spritz, I wasn’t sure how to feel about it but after taking some time to adjust to the smell and letting the perfume settle down as well, I do think it smells nice but not something many people would prefer. I smell more of a milky scent than a banana scent from this. This will be nice to apply occasionally for days outside.
This is such a unique and pretty perfume. I’m glad to have it in my collection but it’s not an everyday perfume for me. I like to wear it on random occasions. The banana isn’t too strong. I enjoy it mixed with the other notes. It’s not too sweet and it lasts a long time on my skin. I’m very happy with it
Literally hate. It is quite misleading in the marketing for this product. I would think a mochi blue banana sent would be a little more fun and this doesn’t even smell good. It smells like you’re taking a bite into a hard green unripe banana and then the mochi isn’t even like sweet or mochi at all. It’s very like you’re smelling a bag of flour like it’s not a delicious smell at all and I really don’t like when food and perfumes is marketed without being either sweet or savory. This is just bland and nothing like it doesn’t even have any sense of smelling good it’s almost a headache inducing. It smells bad. It’s kind of nauseating. I really wanted to like this too. Very sad and very disappointing. And for freaking $35 are you kidding me for a travel size that’s nuts.
This is such an interesting and unique scent that definitely stands out in my perfume collection. After a few minutes on the skin, Mochi Banane turns powdery and starchy. It’s more of a gourmand scent rather than a floral scent, along with a hint of vanilla. I can't really smell the banana note. Maybe it's overpowered by the other notes, which is unfortunate since that was something I was really looking forward to. I'm not quite sure what to think of this one. It's definitely not my favorite Nette scent. I'll have to play around with it and layer it with other fragrances to see if I can find the perfect match.
