It is super glittery, so a little goes a long way and it works great as eyeshadow! It’s definitely buildable based on how much product you put on. You can wear it subtly or intense, which is great since it works for both daytime and night. I recommend using not just on your cheekbones - I found it prettiest and more complimentary if used on the brow bone underneath your eyebrow. I do wish it had more a gold finish - but I did receive many compliments on this while out. It did last all evening and was surprisingly easy to wash off as well.
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] It’s blue and lilac glitter suspended in a translucent base gel. I don’t want to unfairly rate it. I abhor glitter so this is not my type of product. I like a fine micro shimmer for a highlighter like Chanel or Natasha denona. These particles are definitely glitter. Looks more like a glitter topper eyeshadow than what I would consider a highlighter. I have not tried it on my eyes. But I might use it for that. It is described as an all over highlighter so I believe it is likely eye safe.
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was really excited to see Marc Jacobs Beauty return, and I've always really enjoyed the brand, so I had high hopes for the return and the new products. Unfortunately, this one was a miss for me. The texture is unique...it's a soft, jelly-like formula, but the pot is very small, and if you have longer nails, it's difficult to pick up product with your finger. I found a brush worked better, although I don't love using brushes with jelly glitter formulas. The "universal" shade isn't a traditional highlighter. Instead, it's a sheer blue-purple duochrome glitter topper. On my skin, it didn't give the natural glow I was expecting and looked much more like visible glitter than a wearable everyday highlight, or even an eye topper. I think it would be better suited for festival, concert, or creative makeup looks rather than daily wear, in my life atleast. One positive is that it washes off very easily without staining the skin or leaving glitter everywhere. However, that also means it isnt particularly long-wearing, especially if you tend to sweat, or in the summer heat. For nearly $30 and the Marc Jacobs brand, I expected something more versatile and quality. While the formula may appeal to someone specifically looking for a glittery duochrome effect, it just wasn't practical for my makeup style.
