Light-Activated Scalp Serum for Fuller, Stronger Hair

I was super excited to try products from Higher Dose as I have been super interested in their brand and what they have to offer. This serum had me very intrigued. It smells wonderful. It is a very nice bottle that the serum is in & the stamper is also heavy and nice quality. I like that the stamper is included. However I feel the price is pretty steep for it to not include any form of red light therapy that is highly recommended to be used with the serum. Red light therapy items sold separately are pretty pricey. It is a cool concept for sure, but to be honest it just feels a bit gimmicky and I’m unsure if it is worth the hefty price point & if long term results will really occur.

This product is super user-friendly. It smells great, goes on easily, and the stamp is relatively foolproof. I’ve noticed some results on my hairline as my hair is coming back after a ton of postpartum hair loss. I’d probably see better results with the red light cap, but I’ll take what I can get.

I’ve been using the HigherDOSE serum for about a month, and during that time I’ve actually noticed new short hairs starting to grow, especially around my hairline. This is the kind of product I didn’t expect to see results from right away, so it was really nice to notice the first changes after just a few weeks. The serum itself feels lightweight, spreads easily over the scalp, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave any greasy or sticky feeling. I also like that my roots don’t look dirty after using it, which makes it easy to use consistently. I especially like the microneedling stamp. It’s comfortable to hold, easy to use, and the needle depth is adjustable, which is a big plus for me. You can start with a more comfortable setting and gradually find the depth that works best for you. Overall, I really like using the serum and stamp together. The routine feels well thought out and easy to do at home. So far, I’m happy with the results and definitely plan to keep using it.

It is my first time trying a product from HigherDose and it has definitely lived up to the hype! The Light-Activated Scalp Serum is lightweight and gentle, and perfect for any and all hair types. I have Type 2A hair, so it is on the straighter side, with a slight wave. It can be fine, but this serum does not make my scalp or strands feel weighed down or greasy. It is activated by red light therapy, but unfortunately I do not own a red light device to experience the full effects. I have noticed an improvement in hair growth, but need to try this with red light.

I love this product for many reasons including the concept. It is such a great product filling an important niche in the market. The applicator is easy to use and I like the microneedler. I have been using it for a month and have had a good experience so far!

this is a good hair serum, i didn't notice any noticeable changes as i don't own the red light device that they recommend you pair with it however it definitely made my scalp feel moisturized and healthy. like i said, i didn't see anything too noticeable, but overall it's ok.

I’ve been using the HigherDOSE Light-Activated Scalp Serum about 30 days, and my first impression is that they got the formula and usability right. Scalp serums can get messy fast, especially with thick hair like mine, but this one is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my roots greasy or weighed down. That alone makes it much easier to actually use consistently. The ingredient list looks really good, with copper peptides, rosemary hydrosol, green tea, ginseng, hyaluronic acid and aloe. They’re all about creating a healthier, more hydrated scalp environment. I’ve noticed that my scalp feels hydrated and comfortable, and I like that I can apply it to dry hair without feeling like I need to wash my hair afterward. (Although I generally use it at night before bed and wash my hair in the AM.) The bigger question is hair growth. HigherDOSE says to give the serum up to 16 weeks of regular use, so I think it’s too early for me to make any claims about fuller or thicker hair. I’d rather see what happens with consistent use over several months. I don’t love the idea that you may feel like you need another expensive device (HigherDOSE’s Red Light Hat) to get the maximum benefit from a $69 serum. Overall, this feels more like a long-term scalp health product than an instant hair-growth fix. It’s lightweight, easy to incorporate into my routine, and doesn’t make my thick hair too greasy, which is a big plus. I’m just reserving judgment on the bigger growth claims until I’ve used it longer. (This product was provided for promotional purposes in exchange for my honest review.)

I really wanted to love this serum. It has beautiful ingredients, is free from the “bad stuff,” and is designed to promote follicle vitality and fuller-looking hair through red-light activation and a microneedling-like application. Unfortunately, the full benefits require the HigherDOSE red-light therapy hat, which we were not provided. With the limited use I was able to get, I I I I saw no improvement whatsoever. Beautiful concept and ingredients, but without the additional equipment, it missed the mark for me. I am also taking GLP 1 and experiencing head hair shedding, and was hoping that this would help with it to no avail.
