Mini Body Butter Balm Vanilla - Rich Body Cream with Hyaluronic Acid

I actually returned this item. The lotion itself was thick and creamy. It did make my skin feel hydrated & surprisingly lasted a long time. Unfortunately, I wasn't thrilled with the way it smelled. It was a light sweet scent. It just wasn't for me even though I like warm gourmand perfumes. It didn't mix well with my body chemistry.

I like the moisture and sheen it provides but the scent has a sour milk/ yogurt like undertone that can’t be ignored.

Smelled like play-dough… immediately had to return

There is a certain kind of richness with this body butter creme. Immediately when I applied this onto my skin I was able to tell how well balanced this is and how it wasn't going to leave my skin with feeling like I put too much or feeling tacky. I also took notice of the scent and I have to say that it smells like a vanilla cake and it definitely is a scent that does linger on the skin. So far I am enjoying it and will continue to use this as it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft.

The mini Vanilla Body Butter Balm is officially a purse staple for me. It’s small enough to throw in my bag without taking up a ton of space, but I still get that rich, buttery hydration whenever my hands need it. Plus, the warm vanilla scent is so good.

I don’t know how people don’t love this but yes scent is subjective for sure so to each their own but I LOVE it. I think this is the best true vanilla bean extract type of scented body lotion I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried all of them, literally. If you like the dulce by Rosie Jane line or Golden Vanilla by Athena or Tihota by Indult this is for me that type of sweet deep rich true vanilla bean extract with the seeds type of scent. The stuff you put into ice cream or frosting. A bit woody or paper-esque for sure I can see that and maybe that’s what people aren’t vibing with but the vanilla is just sooo luxe and so rich, I can’t stop smelling it, it makes me melt inside everytime I use it. If you are a vanilla obsessed girlie like me you just have to try this one, it is an absolute banger. Summer Fridays did not disappoint this is exactly what I was hoping they would create to match the lip balm.

I know that smell is subjective and writing a review on scent is probably not helpful, but I can’t stand the smell of this. Maybe it can be described as powdery vanilla, for me it smells like a cross between baby powder and playdoh. I will say it’s not a strong scent, but honestly I don’t like it. Yes, it’s moisturizing, but nothing special beyond that. I keep hoping that they make a vanilla scent like their lip butter balm, I’m obsessed with that scent, but the perfume and this body butter is such a let down.

I don’t know how to explain it … but it smells a little like fresh paper. If you’re a stationary girlie you know what I mean. But it IS hydrating and not oily, I can’t take that away from the product.

The body butter balm does feel pretty moisturizing, but if you’re buying it specifically for the smell don’t waste your money. You can barely smell it when rubbing it in & ten minutes later you can’t smell a thing. I bought it for the scent & I absolutely regret it. Same with the body spray.

i’ve loved every summer fridays product i’ve tried so far, and i do really love the texture and vanilla scent BUT when i rub it in to my skin there’s an immediate plastic kind of smell that i’m not sure is just me or if its part of the scent. it smells good once its rubbed in as long as you aren’t smelling it really closely. overall a nice product though!
