It’s ok. I love coffee scents so I was hoping for that and I don’t smell coffee at all. I smell vanilla skin by Phlur. I am not going to return it because it does smell good, very fall but it’s definitely not mocha or coffee. It’s a spicy vanilla. Very disappointed actually. Just make it what you advertise.
If you love deep, cozy coffee scents, this is an absolute must-try. Right out of the bottle you get this rich, dark espresso and warm mocha vibe that feels completely decadent. As it settles on the skin, the sweet hints of toffee and bourbon come through without ever becoming overly sugary or cloying. It has incredible staying power and wears like a warm, comforting hug all day long. Perfect for cooler weather or whenever you want a rich, addictive gourmand signature scent.
Smells exactly like Cyklar’s Vanilla Verve. I can see the similarities to Vanilla Skin as well. I enjoy this. I do pick up on the coffee and it’s very pleasant but not too literal. It comes across as woodiness rather than coffee shop, which makes it more wearable for me.
Its a nice scent but its very similar to other things we have like phlur vanilla skin. If replica by the fireplace & vanilla skin had a baby, it would be mocha magic. Im disappointed because I wanted to smell coffe/mocha etc & i get none of that :/. Depending on your wants & your collection, you might not need this one.
So this isn’t what I was expecting. But I do quite like it. It’s similar to Vanilla Skin. But I also get some cocoa in it. Like cocoa dust. Maybe that is the mocha? I think it’ll be nice with my Vanilla Skin body oil for the fall. It’s not sweet-so if you’re looking for sweetness, this may be disappointing. Also, I think this would smell so good on a guy!
i own phlur’s vanilla skin, and i feel like vanilla skin is more heavily a sandalwood note, whereas with dedcool i could immediately smell the coffee, with a scent of cocoa trailing afterwards, and only the slightest hint of a woodsy scent. the wood overpowers the gourmand in vanilla skin, whereas mocha magic is more sweet and delicate, but still holding a masculine touch; like the perfect notes to compliment mochi milk for anyone wanting to match with their partners whilst still having their own scent palettes. removed a star as the longevity of dedcool isn’t the best from my experience and i do have to re-apply frequently, but i really enjoyed the formulation of this! it is still unique and different, living up to my expectations nonetheless.
Smells almost like coffee talk by replica but better.
It’s nice, very warm & musky. Upon first spray, I immediately thought, I already own this. It smells very much like the Ouai Ibiza bodymist but Mocha Magic is the more elevated version. Just like one of the other reviews I read, the coffee scent is more of in the background, if you even pick it up. It’s warm and sweet, I think that’s the Tonka bean that is quite prominent and the most familiar scent. I see it being a nice fall scent. A lot of people would love this as a sweater weather perfume that feels cozy. I like it. For the price, it’s a good perfume that you can spray liberally and not care about it being too expensive. I like that it’s not too much of a skin scent, you can smell it. I hate perfumes that you can barely smell. But at the same time, it is not in your face and cloying.
I bought this because I was so excited but unfortunately it 1) isn’t what is advertised, the coffee is barely noticeable in this and it just smells like Phlur vanilla skin 2) not great performance and 3) one of the notes gave me a headache which is hard to do . I returned it
I love almost everything that dedcool comes out with in terms of perfumes. This is a love for me but it smells almost exactly like vanilla skin with thr dedcool DNA mixed in there...and less wood chips...and a tad more creamy...i thinks its actually a more wearable version.
