LIBRE Santal Eau de Parfum

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I now own both the original Libre and this santal version. In my opinion, this one is a bit softer and more appropriate for daytime. The santal leans a bit musky for my personal preference, but I enjoy spraying this on overcoats and layers to soften the scent. This scent is not sweet at all, and leans into the musk and sandalwood. They killed it with the packaging on this one.. moody and beautiful on display! 🤎

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The appearance of the bottle is beautiful and rich , I like the gold trim and highlights, looks great on my vanity with my other collections. The perfume has a nice warm and woody smell . You can notice the musk scent coming out. Layering with a vanilla scent brings outs a sweet and rich profile. Regarding the longevity of the scent, it stayed for a few hours only . I was expecting it to last longer but it didn’t .

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] As someone who is a sandalwood hater, I was cautious about this particular flanker. It is actually really subtle. It’s a creamy, sweet scent with orange blossom. I found the initial whiff to smell super harsh but on dry down it was really smooth. It’s a great fall scent and in some ways if you like the original you’ll like this, however, if you’re looking for something bold and new - that’s not it. I do think this wears better with time.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] A bit underwhelming this one. I’ve had many wonderful scents from YSL and to me the Libre Santal Couture is pretty average. It’s a fruity, yet floral with a hint of woodsy, especially after it dries down. The orange and sandalwood smell a bit stronger on me, but I’ve definitely smelled this scent before. It smells even better after drying down. However the staying power isn’t very long lasting and the scent itself is very mild. So if you’re not looking for something strong and love subtle scents this one is for you.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I do like this perfume as it has a few different notes from the original Libre, which I wear during fall and winter months. The sandalwood notes are not overpowering which is nice for those who don’t like that it to be strong. I do smell a pleasant scent of lavender that doesn’t smell…granny like. The dry down is pleasant and does stay on skin for about 4-5 hours. I do think its projection is soft compared to the OG Libre. I will add this to my fall & winter rotation.

I absolutely love the smell. It’s such a great fall smell. It is super warm very sweet. I feel like it has been a long lasting and just an overall great design of a bottle.

I love a santal scent like the le labo saltal 33, the YSL santal is much warmer. At first I don’t appreciate the strong smell from it but as it settles it tones down. It lasts a good amount of time to wear on a night out. I would say this is a night time, fall/winter scent.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was extremely excited to try this brands scents because YSL totally screams luxury. I received this in exchange for my opinion and to be honest I was a little underwhelmed at the variety of notes this scent had. The musk profile is very forward and heavy. It claims to have other notes of more gourmand scent but I did not pick up on that very much. I feel like this is absolutely the right scent for some but perhaps not for me. I will be experimenting with layering this lightly to enhance any sweetness it conveys. I did love the design and beautiful quality of the bottle and the fact that this does have some real projection and longevity to it. I sprayed it on my wrist and dabbed it on my neck and could smell it all day. I am notably more of a gourmand girl when it comes to scent profile so perhaps I am expecting too much from this. It does have a very mature smell to it and does smell expensive if that’s what you are in to.
