Folligen Thickening Scalp Serum for Thinning hair

Had horrific shedding after starting the use of this product. DO NOT recommend.

I’ve been testing the Dr.FORHAIR Folligen Thickening Scalp Serum (50ml), and my first. impressions: the packaging is sleek and the dropper dispenses just the right amount directly where you need it. While it has some good qualities, it ultimately fell short of its main claim for me. However, in terms of visible thickening, density, or added fullness, I haven't seen any noticeable change or difference in my hair so far. On a positive note, it has a light, clean feel on application and leaves my scalp feeling cool, refreshed and hydrated instead of sticky. I really appreciate that I can apply it to damp or dry hair and go about my day without worrying about looking oily. As a thickening treatment, it didn't show the results promised on the bottle. If you are expecting noticeable volume or density within a few weeks, this missed the mark for me, it simply didn't deliver on the promised thickening results during my trial period. For that reason, I can't say it lived up to what it claims to do. I give a 3 stars out of 5. I had resigned myself to the fact that I would just have flat, fine hair. I went in skeptical trying this. First the actual process of using this. The packaging is great and I love the bottle. It’s very easy to apply and work into your routine. There isn’t any strong fragrance. I experienced zero irritation at all from this. After using it for several days I actually noticed a difference looking in the mirror. It’s not going to completely change your hair type but my hair looks thicker and fuller. I just feel better about how my hair looks now. I am hooked.

I have been using this scalp strengthening serum and really like how easy it is to use. The serum feels light on my scalp and does not leave my hair looking or feeling greasy. I can apply it and still style my hair like normal without feeling like I need to wash it right away. I also like that it does not have a strong scent. The smell is very light and does not stay in my hair for a long time. It absorbs into my scalp quickly and feels clean and comfortable. I have been adding it to my regular hair care routine to help keep my scalp and hair feeling healthy and strong. I like that it is simple to use and does not make my hair feel heavy or oily. Overall, this is a scalp serum that I would keep using.

The dropper makes it easy to apply the serum directly to my scalp and target the areas where I want to focus. It has also been simple to incorporate into my regular routine without interfering with how I style my hair. After a week of use, my scalp feels more hydrated and healthier, and I’ve noticed that my hair getting a tad longer and seeing some new strands come in. Overall, taking care of your scalp helps literally get to the root of the problem. I’ve noticed this year, since I’ve been focusing on scalp care, that my hair is starting to flourish so I’m excited to have this in my routine long term. Since hair growth and thickness can take time, I’m going to continue to use it consistently to see how my results fair.

I received this product as part of a promotion. In the past 5 years since i’ve been post partum, I’ve noticed a lot of hair thinning and shedding. I’ve tried different products to help with this issue. Nothing has really helped. I’ve been using this serum for over a week now, no huge change but minor results. I’ll continue using in hopes of more results.

This product has the potential to be a real winner. To start, I am giving it 5 stars based on the ingredients and the lightweight and non-greasy formula. As far as hair thickening or growth, I will need to evaluate that after more time has passed. First off, I like that this is a Korean product. All of my favorite hair products are Koren or Japanese. Then, it has spicules! I am a user of spicule products for my skin, so I am excited to try on my hair. And I use a copper peptide on my hair regularly, so I'm very glad that this contains copper, as well as bakuchiol and biotin. This serum is lightweight and does not make my hair greasy at all. For all of those reasons, it's 5 stars!

I’ve been taking progress photos of the same spot along my hairline because it’s the easiest area to track consistently. Other parts of the scalp are much harder to compare from photo to photo, so I wanted to keep the comparison as accurate as possible. The first thing I noticed was the scent—it smells very fresh and clean. The serum also feels incredibly lightweight on my scalp. It absorbs quickly, leaves no greasy residue, and doesn’t weigh my hair down, which makes it easy to use every day. Since I’ve only been using it for a short time, I don’t think it’s realistic to expect dramatic results yet. However, when I compared my photos from July 17 to July 30, I did notice what looks like some tiny baby hairs starting to appear along my hairline. It’s a subtle change, but enough to make me feel encouraged to keep using it. Overall, I’m happy with my experience so far. The formula is pleasant, refreshing, and easy to incorporate into my routine. If these early signs continue, I’ll definitely repurchase.
