Dr Wood soap contains all natural ingredients and it’s very versatile. It does not contains harsh chemicals such as paraben, phthalate, sodium lauryl sulphate. It’s biodegradable and does not leave behind harmful chemicals in the environment. It does not irritate the eyes much when it accidently gets into the eyes. This is not the same when you use conventional soap loaded with many unknown chemical. I have tried the black soap standalone and black soap + shea butter. I prefer the shea butter combination as it helps to moisturize better as well. I have very oily facial skin and one facial wash can last me 4-5 hours before it needs another wash. My facial skin does not dry up when I wash my face frequently. I also use it for shampoo, body wash, shaving, washing clothes, dishes and floor. Basically, it’s an all in one bottle! We love Dr. Woods castile soap products. They are of great quality. Very pleasant scent for all of the products. The size is good too. It lasts for weeks in our family. Only a small amount is needed at a time. The soap is gentle even on dry and sensitive skin.
Smells heavenly! But not if you’re a “tutti,frutti” or “ozonic” fiend. I love the herbal smell to this and the fact that it actually removes grease very well. It does not leave a slippery layer in case you’re one of those who enjoy that, but it also doesn’t leave it squeaky. I’m quite unique to this experience. In case you’re not one to research ingredients, this is not for lather fiends.

This black soap with shea is a really good liquid soap. The scent is pleasant and not too strong, and it’s gentle enough to use on my kids. The quality feels excellent, and the size of the bottle is generous.
