Agaricus Blazei Mushroom Extract, 500 mg, 90 Veggie Caps

I'm relatively new to medicinal mushrooms but I've already tried and appreciated Chaga, Shiitake for immune boosting purposes. I'm giving a try now to Aguaricus in combination with Chaga to maximize immune benefits and help immune system. I guess this is giving some great results as I have healed very fast from a huge flu that I got lately and I'm recovering very well.

Agaricus blazei is an edible mushroom native to Brazil and is cultivated in Japan for medicinal uses. I love agaricus for immune support. I use it whenever I feel a cold or flu coming on, and it definitely seems to minimize the duration and severity of any sickness. There are some clinical studies out there regarding agaricus blazei, so if your interested, do some research. I haven't dug too deep, but it does seem to have some small benefits with no negative side effects.

I was trying to get a more affordable mushroom supplement than Agarikon, & found this one to be quite similar. It has great benefits, and helps digestion, I've found. Agaricus blazei can be hard in capsule form. One always had to be cautious when buying any supplement but mushrooms are a particularly difficult category to sort through because there is so much low quality stuff out there. On top of that there is some concern regarding liver safety and Agaricus blazei, so again quality is really important here. This Swanson product is one of, if not the top Agaricus blazei that’s readily available. Being standardized from the fruiting bodies is essential. I only use this intermittently for specific infections due to the albeit rare concern for liver issues.

This is an extract supplement, and the quantity of 500 mg is enough for me. It contains 90 capsules, not 60, and I think it is a good deal. I take this supplement regularly for immune system support and for its potential cancer-fighting properties.
