I have been on 250 mg Niacin tablets (different brand) for about a year now. Used this one for 3 days and then experienced my first ever flush (which I don't want). Dropped to half a tablet and stopped experiencing the flush, but then I started having severe upper abdominal pain and when I went to the doctor she found that my liver enzymes were elevated. I stopped these tablets (as the only new supplement I had been taking), and everything is back to normal without any other changes. I don't think this formulation is safe for everyone, and I would like to recommend that people take care with its use.

I was very disappointed with Kal Niacin. The flush was incredibly intense, leaving me with severe redness, itching, and discomfort that lasted over an hour. It was unbearable and made the product unusable for me. I’ve used other niacin supplements before with manageable flushing, but this one was far too harsh. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

One of the few products with just niacin and more than 100 mgs. Can definitely notice a good flush unless taken about an hour after eating. Then, only mildly. It can raise histamine if that’s an issue, back off until you’ve got it in balance.

I was fortunate to not have a problem adjusting to the initial effects, and have had excellent blood work for years now. I've ordered from different providers but am very glad I began using iHerb. I can only guess that the prescribing doctor uses the brand he thinks is the best.

I purchased this because I wanted a niacin that would make me flush while doing ewot (exercise with oxygen therapy) It provided the perfect effect of niacin flush which helps to move the oxygen into places it would be harder to get to. I recommend it.
