As a menopausal woman I have suddenly found that my pelvic muscles have resigned. I've been struggling with pain and also, to my horror, a hemorrhoid. I have only used these to apply heat so far, not yet as a cold pack, but they work great. Don't overheat them! I did explode one in the microwave, but that was my fault--go easy! The quality is good: I usually do not use things with plastic beads, but since this is high-quality and reusable, and since the beads stay in the pack, I think this will have minimal impact on the environment. The pack maintained its heat for about 45 minutes, and the box contains two packs. I found these soothed my pain, and were also great to use before doing exercises for stretching my pelvic muscles. The plastic materials seem resilient and I have used these frequently to relax tight muscles and ease pain. There is no scent, there are no "ingredients" so this is safe for vegans. I would recommend using a soft cloth or a sock in addition to the disposable sleeve, to avoid the plastic touching you directly--it can be quite hot. It helped me up a lot with my crumbs specially during my horrible period days. I can’t even complain about it, and I will definitely keep using it until my postpartum super simple, good packaging class forever has a lot of good benefits of soothing this skin and the pain.
