They're softer than other brands, so they don't hurt the ear if you have to wear them for hours. They also block a bit more sound than other brands. Due to some construction going on day and night These foam earplugs have been more or less a lifesaver.
I use these for noisy supermarkets. Also cicadas during summer. They help reduce the noice and certain frequencies, but higher piched sounds are still audible to me. It takes the edge off my overwhelm at so many noises. I do notice tinitius after wearing them for a while, so I don't use them all day.
