This serum does moisturize your skin instantly, but in my case, I found that the moisturizing effects didn't last long. My skin is dry and the texture is not hydrating enough and stays on the surface. After 2 hours of applying it, I need to put another layer of moisture on top of the serum at night as I feel my skin is getting dry. I prefer oil-based serums, but I read an article about this serum and thought it would address my dry skin concerns. The composition of this product may be better for normal skin. The good part is that if you use it twice a day, it will still last you for a while.
