Pure Saffron Extract, 240 Vegetarian Capsules

I am so disheartened to have wasted my time and money on this, and had I not had extensive experience with saffron extract in the past, I likely would have never known the difference. While the label states 88.5mg of saffron extract, I can easily compare it with the, for example, Bulk Supplements brand of saffron which states the same thing. The two capsules could not look mroe different from one another. This one is a large capsule, entirely white in colour, while Bulk Supplements is tiny and notably orange in colour. Opening each into a small amount of water shows the colour difference clearly, despite the claims made on the labels being identical. Plus, the Bulk Supplements version is palatable and pelasant to the taste (mmm, like saffron is) while the Micro Ingredients version is undrinkable, acrid, incredibibly bitter, as if it might be Comet or a drain cleaner. Yes, they add 200mg of Vitamin C which accounts for extra bulk and white colour, but this is likely to hide the fact that their extract is definitely less potent and likely contains fewer carotinoids. This again highlights buying such made-in-the-US brands which need not follow anything like strict guidelines in order to make a buck. I must also say that Bulk Supplements, whose capsules do appear much more potent than Micro Ingredients' also - thanks again to lax and purposefully confusing US requirements on all things supplement - do not state anywhere, on purpose, the % of active components or the way in which they make their standardized extract. Only some European companies do, and of those I'd suggest Vegavero, which is completely transparent about what each capsule contains.

This is a reasonably priced saffron supplement . Seems to be good quality. Not sure if helping with mood yet but I’ve heard good things so fingers crossed!

Unfortunately this brand of saffron doesn't work for me. Been using saffron of various brands for over a year with good results, but after buying three of these it's become apparent that this is not giving me any positive benefit. Sad. I doubt I'll get any money back.

I find that the Micro Ingredients, Pure Saffron Extract Capsules are a positive, quality-based supplement to my daily diet. The capsules are easy to take and have no negative side-effects on my general health.

Has been good so far , not yet long enough to tell completely effects tbh . after a 4 more weeks may make a clearer picture. Quality seems fine, no stomach issues No tastes Gluten free Easy to swallow capsules

2 small capsules after a meal, I feel calmer and seems to keep my stress level down. No stomach issues, easy to swallow. Provides saffron at a safe and good level.
