I love lavender, so even though I don't have a dog, I was curious and bought it. It's not so much pure lavender as a lavender with a slightly spicy scent. It might be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of scent. I use it to wash my face and body, and my daughters' whole bodies. I like that the scent doesn't linger too much. It doesn't lather very well. Since it's Castile soap, it's gentle on the skin.
I jumped at the chance to try iHerb's pet shampoo! The simple, clean packaging was also a deciding factor. I also purchased the Green Tea & Mint flavor, and both have lovely scents. The lavender scent is slightly stronger, but both are gentle, understated, and soft. Since my dog is still a puppy, I wanted to wash him with gentle ingredients. Hypoallergenic, PETA-free, and cruelty-free, it "gently lifts dirt and removes odors, even on sensitive skin." It really did work! The refreshing, elegant, and deep, soft scent of lavender lingers, and I've been using it ever since. It gently leaves my Maltipoo's soft, curly, and silky hybrid coat silky and shiny. It's smooth to the touch! I think it even shortened the drying time a little. It gently untangled the hairballs under his armpits, which were prone to pilling. It's great for dogs with soft hair that's prone to pilling! It's a generous 473ml capacity. For best results, pre-wash with a wash ball! You can create fluffy foam with the foaming ball. I highly recommend using a foaming ball when washing! You're missing out if you don't lather! The bathroom is filled with the aroma of a spa salon while you're lathering. It's also beneficial for owners! It's gentle on the hands, and there was no dryness or itchiness at all!
My dog seems to feel very comfortable when I massage him with this shampoo, so I've started shampooing him more often. I'm very happy that he's always clean.

I thought it might have a strong smell since it's an imported product, but it has a subtle scent that's gentle on my dog, and I really like it. The lather wasn't as good as I expected, so if I had to nitpick, it would be even better if it lathered up a bit more.
