The original was extremely salty, but this one, while having a strong cheese aroma, was milder in saltiness and easy to eat. There's a slight bitterness in the aftertaste, so I think it might be a matter of personal preference. It's puffy and light with a crisp texture that melts in your mouth, so it's closer to a biscuit than the hardness of a pretzel.

These are a nice change from protein bars when I want something salty. Good crunch, noticeable cheddar flavor, and they feel much more like a normal snack.

We really like the Sea Salt, Everything, and Sesame flavors by Crisp Power, but this Cheddar was disappointing. The cheddar powder is just ok. They are tolerable when I eat something with them--cheese slices or tuna salad can temper the funkiness a bit.
