Soaking in water for 30 minutes adds refreshing structure for dessert, cream cheese, marshmallow, apple sauce etc. Better to rinse before eating just in case. Really enjoyed crispy center with small seeds. Highly recommend for healthy eating style. Perfect size of berries and beautiful bright summer color. Very good packaging for safe storage
